*PART 5*
Previously on Big Brother... Elmer rose to power as the new HoH, and Chari immediately put in her two cents on who he should be targeting. After being humiliated by Bronson last week, she set his attention to making a big move and exacting revenge. Did he want to be remember in this game? Of course he did, and Bronson would be a major move for his resume.
In the Nomination Ceremony, he did exactly what Chari told him to do and put Bronson on the block next to Ramin. Hoping Ramin wasn't a big enough target, he felt Bronson would surely be voted out of the house.
The Girl's Alliance was ecstatic about the possibility of sending out a major player. Bronson leaving the game would put them in a great spot in the house.
Even though he was told he was safe, Ramin didn't want to put his fate in the hands of anyone in the house, and in the Veto Competition, he secured his safety by taking himself off the block. This forced Elmer to name a replacement nominee.
Sticking to the original plan, he put up Yari as a replacement, hoping that she would just be a pawn due to her strong relationships with the rest of the house.
After an insightful meeting between the Bromance Alliance and Chari, they discussed the possibility of keeping Bronson safe another week. They convinced Chari that she would be the next target if he went out. It scared her enough that she was willing to change her plans completely and take a shot at her enemy Jeanette and her Girl's Alliance... She wanted to make this move last week, but it didn't pan out for her.
With Chari and Devonte once again in the driver seat, they seal Yari's fate in a shocking 2 to 4 Vote. Chari has once again flipped for her own benefit, and Elmer is left on the outs and placed in a terrible spot in the house. Her disregard for others is actually paying off for her own personal game, and now the Girl's Alliance is down to two. Things are about to get really crazy in the Big Brother House. Only 8 Sims Remain, Who will be the first member of the Jury?! Find out now on Big Brother!!
Because no one pulled the Trick or Treat last week. Both of them will still be in play and roll over to this rotation. The Treat Reaction is set to the Pop-Up Ghost, and will give the winner a +15 Friendship Boost to their lowest relationship in the house. The Trick Reaction is the Green Hand and will automatically put the sim up as a 3rd Nominee, with no chance of pulling their self off with the Veto.
Elmer is left completely dumbfounded by this eviction outcome. He thought Devonte and Chari would have his back after he put Bronson on the block. They knew he wanted Bronson out of this game, and now he feels completely betrayed. With no chance to play in the next HoH Competition, he looks like the bad guy and the other two are going to be getting away scot-free with the Bros Alliance.
Following the eviction, Bronson and Austen have a private moment to celebrate. They can't believe their plan actually worked and they convinced Chari and Devonte to keep them together in this game.
Alawa can't believe this just happened. It was common knowledge all week that Bronson was the target, why would Chari and Devonte flip on that vote? It makes no sense to keep Bronson in this house. He's too big of a threat.
Chari and Devonte are very happy with the outcome. They put a dent in the Girl's Alliance and made Alawa and Jeanette look bad by voting against Bronson. This should lead to the two Alliances going against each other, there's no way Bronson and Austen are going to let them get away with that.
Jeanette pulls Bronson aside and does some damage control following the eviction. She tells him they didn't have a choice when it came to that vote. they couldn't just turn their back on Yari, she's been loyal to them from the start. She's very sorry that they voted against him, and it was never anything personal. She appreciates his help the week before in turning the vote around on Ahmit and keeping them both safe, but it was a rock in a hard place situation for both of them. He seems very understanding, but it's hard to gauge if he actually cares, or is just blowing smoke to make her feel comfortable.
Elmer is pissed off at Devonte for letting him look foolish on his own HoH. He promised that Bronson would be going out and he would have nothing to worry about. Now he looks like the bad guy and they are trying to skate by like they had no part in it. He demands to know whats going on! Devonte just tries to calm him down. He's kept him under control this far, surely he can reel him back in and ease the tension with some casual conversation.
The next morning, the battle for the next HoH begins! Each Sim is set to Practice Darts and at the end of the duration, the person who has the most points on their board will be the winner! With the drama going on in the house right now, anyone could benefit from this HoH and it could completely alter the trajectory of the game. Who do you think is going to become the next HoH?!
With a score of 8, Austen becomes the next HoH! This is his first competition win of the season! Is he finally ready to start playing the game?! This win means the Bros are in power and at this point, anyone could be in danger!
I think it's no surprise that Austen chose Bronson to join him in the HoH Room. Now that we are down to the Top 8, the HoH only gets to pick 1 ally to join them. They gain +15 Friendship with each other. Now that they are in power, they have a lot to discuss. This is the first time they get to actively choose nominations on their own and they wanna make sure their target goes home. But the question is, who do they want out right now? With their hands in multiple cookie jars, they want to make sure they take out a threat without getting too much blood on their hands.
Chari and Devonte are feeling pretty confident that they are safe this week. They worked with Austen to ensure Bronson stayed last week, so they surely wouldn't break their deal this early.
Elmer is feeling pretty sad, he's been played. No one is talking to him and he thinks he's definitely going up. It's not a good week for Elmer.
Alawa and Jeanette are kind of weary going into this nomination ceremony. They don't really know what to expect, especially after being the only votes to evict Bronson last week. This could be bad for them.
So far, Ramin's plan to lay low and save himself when he becomes a target is working out. No one really sees him as a threat right now. Since no one is really making an effort to rope him into any alliances, he's not being noticed. This could definitely work to his advantage going forward. When the numbers dwindle down, he could become a valuable vote.
DAY 2 NOMINATION CEREMONY
Austen looks to be diplomatic in his nominations. Because Elmer targeted Bronson last week with his HoH and Alawa voted against him, it seems like the obvious choice. Alawa hasn't talked game with them at all or even attempted to make any deals, so he tells them both to fight for the veto. He hasn't made up his mind on a target. he wants to see them fight to save themselves. Austen loses -10 Friendship with Elmer and Alawa.
Following the nominations, Chari wants to personally thank the boys for keeping her safe this week. She thinks their move of targeting two alliances is brilliant, because if one of them comes off, they can secure the other goes home. She tells them she would rather see Jeanette and Alawa broken up this week, but if Elmer has to go, she doesn't care. (Side Note- It's pretty clear that she'd rather have Devonte to herself in this game.)
Alawa has been pretty interesting to watch in this game. She's made some really strong connections with a few sims in the house, but there are some that she hasn't even introduced herself to. So in nominations, Austen wasn't wrong, she hasn't made any effort at all to campaign to him.
Ramin has been making small efforts to increase his relationships with everyone in the house. These little increments are really doing wonders for his game, and keeping him out of the danger zone in a lot of situations. He's setting himself up to be able to play the middle and that could be very beneficial to him in the coming weeks.
The Bros have been very close the whole game and have the strongest bond in the house. However, in terms of social game, Bronson is much stronger with bonds outside of the alliance. If Austen wants to solidify himself as a player, he really needs to pull away from being Bronson's sidekick and actually make some power moves in this game.
Devonte and Chari have done a great job of steering the heat away from themselves. Though at the expense of others, their gameplay has been rather good. To play the way they are and never be put up on the block. Big Move for Devonte and Chari. They've had the most control over the game so far.
Jeanette has done a good job of building strong social links in the house with pretty much everyone. But her strained relationship with Chari is keeping her from putting herself in a comfortable position. If she can somehow get Chari out of this game, she would be in a great position.
Before the Veto Competition, Austen manages to get the Treat Reaction! What a great week for Austen! He now gets to increase his friendship with his lowest friendship in the house, which is Elmer. They gain +15 Friendship. Sadly, it's Week 5 and no one has pulled the Green Hand Reaction for the Trick. It's still in play, kind of strange it hasn't been pulled yet, but it's still there!
The Veto Competition is set to be a Waterslide Competition! Back in Season 3 I did things a little differently. In this competition, there was a banned trick set for every round. If a sim performed the banned trick or fell on their face, they were eliminated from the competition. This went on until only one sim remained! Also, when I got down to 8 Sims, I reduced the number of sims competing in Veto Competitions to 5 instead of 6. Don't ask me why, I'm still not sure why I did that, lol. Let's see who is coming out with this Veto!!
Paranoid at the option of a Backdoor Situation, Ramin once again wins the Power of Veto! This is his 3rd one this season! He's on a roll! The question is, with Ramin off the block, what is he going to do with it?!
Before the Veto Ceremony, Bronson discusses with Austen what should happen in either scenario. Whether Ramin uses the Veto or not, this could be their chance to make a big move. Putting one half of two alliances on the block would mean they could pin down either one if someone came off. If they stay the same, they have a plan in motion on who they want to go this week.
DAY 3 VETO CEREMONY
With the houseguests gathered, everyone expected this to be a quick Veto Ceremony with Ramin choosing not to use his Veto. But they were wrong. Ramin makes a play by saving Alawa with it. This means he and Alawa are now safe. He gains +10 Friendship with Alawa, hoping to gain her trust and move forward with her as an ally. This could either be really good or really bad for him.
After discussing it earlier with Bronson, they had already decided that if someone came off the block, they were going to pin down the nominee with their ally in the house. This is a huge move. Devonte and Elmer have been very close since the beginning of the game and now they were about to be split up. Devonte has never seen the block before. Austen loses -10 Friendship with Devonte. This is a definite Big Move for Austen. Either of them going home will be great for his game. Because he was forced to name a replacement nominee because someone that wasn't on the block pulled a nominee off. He also loses -5 Friendship with Ramin for messing with his HoH.
Elmer is so mad, trusting Chari was the biggest mistake of his life. He can't believe that she put him in this situation because of her flip flopping last week. If he managed to get Bronson out, he would probably not even be in this situation right now, she would be.. Clearly, he's starting to realize she made some kind of deal behind his back.
Devonte is also frustrated now. Chari assured him that if he voted with her last week, they would be safe with the Bros. Now he's probably going to get backdoored because they left them in the game. He's so upset right now, he doesn't even want to look at her. Chari tries her best to calm him down and tell him she's gonna make sure he doesn't go this week. He needs to just calm down.
Alawa and Jeanette want to thank Ramin for helping them this week. They owe him one now! He says they haven't done anything in the game to him personally and he thinks they could work together. Both girls seem pretty receptive to his request.
Later on, Bronson and Austen have a chat with Ramin. They have a plan in mind for this week and they want to make sure he goes along with it. They offer him safety if he goes along with them on this vote. Ramin accepts, but that doesn't mean he's going to follow through on it. Ramin is gaining a lot of power in this game now as a lone wolf, and he's sitting in a pretty good position right now. Big Move by Ramin
DAY 4 FINAL VOTE AND EVICTION
It's now time for the Final Vote and Eviction. Tonight, either Elmer or Devonte will be evicted from the Big Brother House and become the first member of the jury. Both of these guys have been working together since the beginning of the game. It's time for another alliance to be torn apart. Will Elmer's bad HoH be his demise or will Devonte go for his association with Chari as her right hand man?! A Major Player is about to be evicted, who do you think is going to be the first member of the jury?! Let's get into the votes!
THE VOTES
It's no secret that Alawa is not a fan of Chari, and now she has the chance to take a shot at her biggest ally. She'd love more than anything to break them up and weaken her in this game. Alawa votes to evict Devonte. Elmer: 0 Devonte: 1
Chari has been loyal to Devonte since Day 1. He is her ride or die in this game and there's no way she'd be going against him on this vote. She's already said that she thinks Elmer is expendable and she'd would rather have Devonte to herself. Chari votes to evict Elmer. Elmer: 1 Devonte: 1
Jeanette and Alawa have never voted separately since Week 1. Both of them see the potential of taking out a big target. They may never get this chance again. After roping Ramin in, they feel they have the numbers to make a big move here and take out Chari's right hand man! Are we about to witness a backdoor?! Jeanette votes to evict Devonte. Elmer: 1 Devonte: 2
Bronson sees potential in keeping Devonte in this game. If he took out Devonte right now, his trust with Chari would be gone. But she's already said she's willing to sacrifice Elmer, who's also a number for her. The safest move for him is to eliminate Elmer, and save Devonte for another day. He thinks he can beat either of them in the end, so why not boost their confidence in his abilities to keep his word in this game. Bronson votes to evict Elmer. Elmer: 2 Devonte: 2 It's tied... It all comes down to Ramin, who's been asked by both alliances to vote along with them.. What is he going to do?! Who do you think is about to be evicted?!
Ramin takes Bronson's deal. He thinks Bronson and Austen will be good on their word to keep him safe next week if he votes along with them, and Elmer did put him up last week. Being as paranoid as he is, he thought why not kill two birds with one stone. Eliminate the guy that was coming for him while also receiving a deal going into the next week. He's just hoping his new allies Alawa and Jeanette won't be mad at him. But either way, he put himself in this tough situation and had to make a choice. Ramin votes to evict Elmer. Elmer: 3 Devonte: 2
By a very close vote of 3 to 2, Elmer is evicted from the Big Brother House. He was used and thrown away like yesterday's garbage. This could definitely come back to bite Chari and Devonte in the ass when it comes to Jury Votes, because he is the first member of the Jury of 6 that could give the winner the Majority Bonus they need to win the game! Jury Management is important, and treating him the way they did could result in trouble down the road.
Because Austen received the Treat Reaction this week, a new Treat will be in play next week! STILL no one has been Tricked. (After using this in 3 Celebrity Seasons, I had never seen them go this long without ever being hit with the trick, it's insane) But it remains in the game, and will roll over to the next rotation.
Hope you guys enjoyed this episode! The alliances are dwindling down, big moves are being made and only the strong remain. Next week is sure to be even crazier! Get hyped! As always, let me know what you thought of this episode on Twitter, and stay tuned for more drama! This was one of my favorite seasons in terms of strategy, so I'm glad I get to share it with you all!
