*Welcome to the Live Launch of Big Brother UK Season 1! 14 sims are about to enter an experience like no other, competing for 500k Simoleons and the legendary title of becoming the first winner of Sims 4 Big Brother UK! If you are interested in the challenge I made, You can find it here! This series will be full of twists, turns and drama like you couldn't imagine and I hope you're as excited as I am. Before we get into the game and start introducing the sims, let's take a quick look at the house!*
HOUSE TOUR
I tried my best to make a house very similar to the actual BBUK house. It's definitely not identical but it does have a lot of similarities. I hope you like it. (Click the pictures to zoom in.)

*I hope you guys like the look of the house! I know most of you are anxious to get into the action and dive into just how this game is going to work. Because this is a new challenge, and I want people to understand it, I will be explaining a lot of things as I go, so I'm sorry if you're reading for pure entertainment. Next season will be much more fluid, but for now, I want to give people tutorials so they can learn how to play it too!*
*Disclaimer: Everything you will see in this series are depictions of storylines that are made up from autonomous actions between the sims. I have no control of their actions or relationships, I will only be commenting on what they do, and try to make storylines out of it for dramatic effect. No competitions or eliminations will be rigged, everything that happens is of their own free will. Some scenes may be enhanced on a separate save file just for storytelling purposes, but in no way will effect their friendships or relationships in the real game. I hope you enjoy the first season of Big Brother UK!*
*Here are our 14 Sims that will be competing in Season 1! The first thing you will do is line them up at the door. In BBUK, entrances into the house are viewed by the public and are a big production. I made rolls to mimic this, so it's important that each sim enters the house one by one. It's also important that you roll for a sim to enter first. This sim will be given a special power upon entering, which will vary depending on which "First To Enter" Roll you get.*
ENTRANCES
*Brooklynn was the sim randomly selected to enter the house first! Each sim will be given a "First Impression" Roll to determine what kind of impression they give to the audience that is watching them enter. They are usually asked a couple questions by the host and the host also shares a few fun facts about them as they enter the house to help the fans get to know them. Fan Reactions in the UK can range from screams and cheers, to waves of boos. It really depends on the person. That's why I created a roll to mimic that, which will kick off their "Influence Points". These points are the life blood of this challenge, and will play a major part in this game. You will learn more about those later*
Brooklynn was feeling a bit nervous making her way to the entrance. She was stumbling over her words and her feet. Her clumsiness made it hard for the fans to get an idea of who she was, so she's starting off the game with "0 Influence Points".
*Following the "First Impression" Roll, each sim will either receive "0", "+2" or "-2" from this roll. You will immediately log each sim's results by making a club labeled "Influence" and putting the amount they earned beside it. This is the most important club of the entire challenge. You will keep this club on each character and will add/subtract to it according to what they do in the house. Influence is what determines whether they stay in the house or get evicted on eviction night. It's meant to mimic the viewers perception of them because in BBUK, the houseguests don't decide who goes home, the viewers do. Having a high influence means they are a fan favorite, and a low influence means they aren't very well liked, or are coming off as boring.*
As each sim enters the house they will be making their way down the staircase to be greeted by the houseguests waiting for them. Because Brooklynn is the first to enter, she wont be greeted by her housemates, but rather she will be greeted by Big Brother, and is immediately asked to come to the Diary Room on her arrival.
MEET BROOKLYNN BERVERLY
Age: 26
Traits: Creative/Snob/Art Lover/Bookworm/Ambitious/Materialistic
Likes: Books, Intelligent Conversations, Going to Art Shows
Dislikes: Stupidity, Loud Noises, Public Transportation
Bio: Brooklynn is an upperclass socialite who's lived her entire life surrounded by the wealthy and powerful. She's never been around commoners before, and feels like this will be a good experience for her to get to know people from all walks of life!
As Brooklynn enters the Diary Room, she's completely taken aback by what Big Brother wants her to do. Big Brother puts her in a tough spot by giving her the ultimate power of deciding the two sims who will be facing the public vote this week, and she has the rest of the night until morning to make her decision. She better work hard to get to know her housemates tonight, because this decision won't be easy. Brooklynn isn't happy about it and feels like this is going to paint a major target on her back.
*Like I said earlier, the sim to enter first will be given power. They do vary, but for Brooklyn, her "First to Enter" Roll ended up giving her the sole power to decide the nominees for the week which means the houseguests won't be nominating on Week 1. There are 2 other things she could've rolled. You will do this every season for the first person to enter the house.*
MEET CASON DANIELSON
Age: 23
Traits: Loves Outdoors/Active/Falimy-Oriented/Glutton/Hot-Headed/Angler
Likes: Hunting, Fishing, Taking care of his Mom
Dislikes: Loud Mouths, Bullies, Spoiled Brats
Bio: Cason's life hasn't been the easiest. His mother was disabled in a freak accident at work, and he has sacrificed most of his personal life to care for her since his father is long out of the picture. He has a bit of a temper that can be triggered easily when people take things for granted and don't appreciate the good things they have.
Cason also enters the house a bit nervous and doesn't say a whole lot in his quick interview. He is just ready to enter the house. He is starting off the game with an Influence of "0" just like Brooklynn.
As Cason enters the house he is greet by Brooklynn. Now, a new roll is introduced for each sim that enters the house following the "First to Enter". This "Introduction" Roll is to give the houseguests a first impression of the sims that are entering. These rolls will only effect the people already in the house, because the sims who haven't entered yet won't be there to witness anything. In this case, Cason comes off as "Attention Seeking" to Brooklynn, and his personality is a little dry for her taste. It puts her off a little bit and he loses -5 Friendship with her off the bat. Not good considering she's going to be deciding who goes up this week, but let's wait and see how the rest of the night plays out.
*The "Introduction" Rolls are determined by skills depending on which roll they get. Different skills are linked to different rolls. If their skill is high enough for their roll, they will come off positively. But if they aren't high enough in that skill, they will be seen negatively. For the "Attention Seeking" Roll, it uses Comedy Skill. Comedy in the 5+ Range will gain friendship with the houseguests for being funny, but sims with a 4- in the skill, will be seen as annoying instead. Each roll for the "Introductions" is set up this way. So they better hope they get a roll to suit their strengths and not their weaknesses!*
MEET ROBERT FLETCHER
Age: 24
Traits: Evil/Lazy/Cheerful/Bro/Photographer's Eye/Social Butterfly
Likes: Getting His Way, Photography, Nice Clothes
Dislikes: Boring People, Rip Off Artists, Being Told No
Bio: Robert has used his photography skills to make a lot of connections in the entertainment business doing photo shoots for entertainers. He's learned how to interact with people to make them feel really good about themselves and plans to use that to his advantage here. Robert is here to make a name for himself and doesn't seem to care who he has to step over to do it.
Robert's social skills come in handy with the audience, he comes off as a really nice and genuine guy, and gains +2 Influence off the bat. Very good for him going into the house, I guess the fans are fooled by his charm. Though I think he has a lot hidden behind a mask, and doesn't show his true self.
When Robert enters the house, his charms don't work as well on Cason and Brooklynn. He comes off as fake and attention seeking, and loses -5 Friendship with both of them. Maybe he isn't as good at manipulating as he seems to think he is.
MEET WHITLEY STOCKTON
Age: 19
Traits: Social Butterfly/Vegetarian/Lazy/Mean/Childish/Romantic
Likes: Shopping Trips, Plastic Surgery, Being Pampered
Dislikes: Working, Driving, Meat
Bio: Whitley is the definition of a Trust Fund Baby. Her father is fabulously wealthy and wants to make sure his daughter has the best life. Whitley has never worked a day in her life, and her father gives her anything she asks for. She has a glam squad and caretakers that tend to her every need.
The fans did not respond well to Whitley's video testimonial and attitude on the stage. Her answers were very immature and a little self centered, which doesn't translate well to viewers. She loses -2 Influence Points off the bat for being a spoiled brat.
Whitley also comes into the house as "Attention Seeking" but because she plays it up in a comedic way, she gets everyone in the house laughing and gains +5 Friendship. This is due to her having a comedy skill of 5+. Really good for her considering her bad fan reception, it could give her the edge to not be nominated this week.
MEET AUGUST CLEMONS
Age: 30
Traits: Outgoing/Evil/Natural Cook/Green Thumb/Erratic/Nurturing
Likes: Cooking, Gardening, Manipulating People
Dislikes: Being Challenged, Goody Goodies, Poorly Made Meals
Bio: A little eccentric, and a lot of crazy has got August places in his career as a Personal Chef. He really knows how to put on a show when he's cooking, and his story telling is top notch. He's cooked for a lot of big names in Del Sol Valley, and he's hoping his performance on BBUK will open even more doors for him in the culinary world.
August really failed to impress the viewers. They felt like he came off as cocky and it wasn't a good look. He loses -2 Influence Points off the bat. Here's hoping his reception with the houseguests will be a bit better.
August came in looking like he got dressed in the dark. The houseguests felt like he was a little unkempt for a Personal Chef to the stars and felt like maybe he's not telling the truth. He loses -5 Friendship with the houseguests as well. It seems August isn't coming off as very likable in this series by anyone.
MEET GRIFFIN OKUMURA
Age: 22
Traits: Self-Assured/Loner/Angler Trait/Vain/Geek/Noncommittal
Likes: Fishing, Alone Time, Making Money
Dislikes: Clinginess, Yes Men, Unintelligence
Bio: Griffin may be young but he's already made a name for himself in the business world. He's a big city franchisee who has invested very well, and because of that has already made well over 1 million simoleons. He's very self aware and doesn't need anyone telling him how good he is, he knows. Relationships have been a bit of a struggle because he loves himself more than anyone else ever could.
Griffin really had a lot of confidence coming out to the crowd and answering the questions. He answered everything in a clever way to get the audience laughing and they really seemed to like him. He gains +2 Influence Points off the bat. Great for him!
Getting into the house though, Griffin was a little shaken by everything and his mask of confidence slipped a little bit. He was feeling nervous and everyone noticed. He loses -5 Friendship with everyone inside the house.
MEET MAKAYLA LYONS
Age: 24
Traits: Hopeless Romantic/Active/Jealous/Dance Machine/Slob/Hot-Headed
Likes: Dancing, Love, Loyalty
Dislikes: Dishonesty, Clean Freaks, Dirty Looks
Bio: A Professional Athlete with a very emotional streak. When Makayla loves, she loves hard, to the point of getting protective and jealous. She says she can't help it, it's just who she is, and her temper is hard to control. She's going to try to do her best to keep her cool in the house, but we'll see how that goes for her.
The fans didn't really get a good gauge of Makayla or how she's going to be in the house, because she only gave short answers and didn't really show a lot of personality on the stage. She seemed like she was just ready to move on and get into the house. She starts with an Influence of 0 Points. Nothing good, but nothing bad either.
When Makayla got in the house, she continued to keep her cards close to her chest. She just wanted to stay quiet and continue to give very little. She didn't really get a positive or negative reaction, just blended into the background. She gets no friendship change.
MEET RAHEEM NOONAN
Age: 29
Traits: Family-Oriented/Goofball/Foodie/Bro/Gloomy/Handy
Likes: Hanging with Friends, Comedy, Eating
Dislikes: Rudeness, Bullying, Loners
Bio: Raheem is a genuine small town guy. He loves spending time with his bros and just having a good time. Raheem doesn't need any fancy extravagant things in his life, he's okay with the simple things. He has had struggles with depression his entire life, but he tries his best to mask it with comedy. Though sometimes, it does get to be a little much, and he gets sad.
Raheem seems like a nice guy, but is that good enough for a gameshow like this? The fans first impression of him is that he seems a little boring. His answers weren't really funny or interesting.. His response wasn't great. But he doesn't manage to lose influence, he just starts at 0.
Raheem plays it safe in the house too. He doesn't overtalk anyone and just tries to keep out of the spotlight. Some of them seem to forget he's even there. He once again gets no change. He should really step it up in a game like this, the viewers don't want boring duds in this house.
MEET EMMETT WATTS
Age: 37
Traits: Cheerful/Slob/Natural Born Performer/Erratic/Art Lover/Romantic
Likes: Art Shows, Flirting, Putting on a Show
Dislikes: Prudes, Clean Freaks, People with No Personality
Bio: Emmett prides himself on his romantic conquests, and loves to boast about everything he's experienced. He seems to think his woohoo techniques are top notch and he can get anyone he wants. He's very confident, so when someone tells him they aren't interested, he takes it very personally. He's also a little crazy!
Three in a row now, the fans are bored. They want someone to come out and entertain them, and everything Emmett is saying seems to contradict what was said in his Video Testimonial. Is he really a player, or was he just playing that up to get cast? We will have to see. Emmett is starting off with 0 Influence Points.
He may not have impressed the viewers, but he's certainly a hit with the other housemates. Emmett comes in and the entire mood of the house shifts to his very charismatic personality. He gains +5 Friendship with everyone in the house.
MEET LOUISE KIMBALL
Age: 27
Traits: Photographer's Eye/Vegetarian/Snob/Cheerful/Insider/Squeamish
Likes: Animals, Taking Selfies, Advocating Veganism
Dislikes: Animal Cruelty, Meanness, Ignorance
Bio: Louise is a Simstagram Model who uses her platform to advocate against animal cruelty. She only promotes vegan and animal safe products to show her dedication to her cause. She's so happy that she is able to reach so many people, and use her fame for good.
It seems that Louise's beauty is off putting for a lot of people in the audience, and they completely overlook her advocacy and charity. These viewers seem petty, and don't give her the best reaction. She loses -2 Influence Points. She's pretty shaken about it as she gets into the house.
Louise was completely shook by her negative reaction from the crowd and went straight for the drinks instead of really mingling with the other houseguests. She doesn't really give a positive or negative impression to the other houseguests.
MEET CESAR VELEZ
Age: 32
Traits: Outgoing/Animal Lover/Nurturing/Neat/Genius/Noncommittal
Likes: Caring for Animals, Intelligent Conversation, Keeping a Clean House
Dislikes: Slobs, Commitment, Being at Home
Bio: Cesar is a Veterinarian that puts his heart and soul into caring for pets in Brindleton Bay. He hates being home alone, so he works overtime a lot to avoid the loneliness. He just doesn't have the time to dedicate to relationships, and puts all of his time and energy into his work. It can be a little depressing sometimes, but he loves what he does.
Cesar has a bit of a stumble on stage and is a little shaken by it. He is a little too flustered to leave a good or bad impression, so the viewers don't really get a good idea of who he is. He starts off with 0 Influence Points. At least it wasn't a bad reaction. Overall the fans have been pretty positive so far.
Cesar composes himself and puts on a happy face for his new housemates. They really find him charming and funny and he gains +5 Friendship with everyone currently in the house.
MEET BETHANY LEARY
Age: 20
Traits: Social Butterfly/Neat/Natural Born Performer/Mean/Animal Lover/Goofball
Likes: Attention, Pranking, Cleanliness
Dislikes: Boring People, One Uppers, Slobs
Bio: Bethany is a young up and coming Stand Up Comedian. She loves being the center of attention, and feels like she can make pretty much anyone laugh. But like anyone, she knows she won't be everyone's cup of tea, and has trouble connecting with people that she can't joke around with. She's hoping everyone in the house will enjoy her comedy.
Bethany comes out with a bit of stand up for the crowd and they love it. They seem to think she's hilarious and it's a good indicator of how she will be in the house. She gains +2 Influence right off the bat. Very good for her.
Bethany comes off as a little standoffish as she gets in the house, and it's a bit much for the rest of the house. It seems like she's already been drinking before she even got in and she's giving some of the other houseguests dirty looks. Seems she's not as comfortable in this environment as she was standing on stage. She loses -5 Friendship with everyone in the house.
MEET JUDITH LOTT
Age: 20
Traits: Unflirty/Socially Awkward/Clumsy/Good/Computer Whiz/Geek
Likes: Nice People, Computers, Jigsaw Puzzles
Dislikes: Bullies, Stupid Questions, Sports
Bio: Judith is a small town girl who's never been kissed. She's going to be like a fish out of water in this house. She's excited but this is way out of her comfort zone. It will be interesting to see how she fairs in a cutthroat environment like this. Will she sink, or will she swim?
Judith doesn't have the best fan reception. I guess she came off as if she was smarter then the crowd, or they were cringing at her odd personality. Something did not connect with the audience and it really put them off. She loses -2 Influence off the bat.
Judith feels very overwhelmed and comes off as timid and shy. She has never been around so many different types of people, so she feels a little out of place.
MEET ALAYNA CARLSON
Age: 34
Traits: Outgoing/Genius/Good/Bookworm/Clumsy/Perfectionist
Likes: Intelligent Conversation, Reading, Teaching
Dislikes: Messing Up, Physical Activity, Bro Types
Bio: Alayna is a college professor with a genius IQ. She loves her job, and sharing her knowledge with her students. She's coming to the BBUK House to try and start important conversations to open the minds of the viewers. She feels like there are a lot of terrible things going on in the world that need a light cast on them.
Alayna holds back a little bit in her interview, and doesn't seem very interesting to the viewers. She seems a bit nervous and just wants to rush through it and get inside the house. Her perception is neither good or bad, she starts the game with 0 Influence Points.
Alayna just observes the big characters in the house, and doesn't have a lot to say about herself. Her guarded behavior doesn't give the other houseguests a good idea of who she is, and she doesn't gain or lose any friendship points.
ENTRANCES END
*Now that all the sims have entered the house, autonomy is turned on for them to mingle, and the first sim to sit on/nap/sleep in this bed will claim it and earn power in the game. Each season you can set one of your beds as "The Lucky Bed", and on Week 3, they get to use a special power that could change the game! If for some reason they are evicted before they can use it, their power will transfer over to their favorite person in the house!.*
Brooklynn really has a lot on her plate this week. She's going to have to get blood on her hands right out the gate by naming the two sims who will be facing eviction this week. There will be no nominations (so next week, you will learn more about how nominations work). Luckily for Brooklynn she has the entire night to make her decision. The sims will find out in the morning what her decision is going to be.
Louise is definitely drunk, and gets a roll to take Makayla to the hot tub for a little fun on the first night! These girls really seem to wanna give the viewers a show! They gain +15 Romance. Because this romance is brand new, they will not be entering a Showmance unless they reach 30+ Romance Points. Every First Woohoo gains a sim +2 Influence Points to their Point Total. BUT, if a sim is already in a Showmance/Real Romance and woohoo another sim, they will be seen as a thot and lose -2 Influence Points instead. The viewers aren't going to look kindly on cheaters.
*For this series, Showmances/Real Romances will be done a little differently from the BBUS Challenge. Reaching a Romance of 30+ will automatically put sims in a Showmance, and if they get to 51+ they will enter a relationship and change their Showmance to a Real Romance. A Showmance will count as a +2 Influence Bonus, and a Real Romance will count as a +3 Influence Bonus. Bonuses will play a big part in this challenge, and I will cover bonds in more detail once one is actually received in the game. They are done a little differently in this version, and are definitely more touchy when it comes to keeping them active.*
Alayna gets a Flirty Drunk Roll as well, to discuss some of the cuties in the house with Brooklynn. They gain +10 Friendship. This is great for her going into the nominations tomorrow! This could save her!
Raheem is the first sim to sit on "The Lucky Bed"! The means he gets a special power roll, and will get to use it on Week 3. This power is to grant one sim 3 Weeks of Immunity until Week 6! That will be major for the person he likes the most in the house. But no one will know about this power until Week 3.
Sadly for Emmett, he was just a little too late. They both have a nice conversation though. It could be good for Emmett after all if he makes a strong connection with Raheem.
He may have made a good impression on Raheem tonight, but with the viewers, Emmett isn't so lucky. A Confident Drunk Roll has him looking like a cocky douche on camera, and he loses some fans because of it. His Influence decreases by -2.
After a long day/night, the houseguests are exhausted and most of them start going to bed. Unbeknownst to them, tomorrow, Brooklynn will be naming the two people she likes the least and they will be the only ones facing the Public Vote this week, with no chance to save themselves. Welcome to Big Brother UK!
RISE AND SHINE: THE MORNING VERDICT
Before the rolls even start for the day, the house is gathered for the verdict from Brooklynn's Secret Task. Everyone is completely shocked that she will have the sole power to decide who goes up on the block this week, and everyone is scared. No one wants to go home first. She makes sure everyone knows how hard it was for her to choose, and she promises no hard feelings, but these are the people she connected with the least on night one.
Brooklynn names Griffin first, saying that he came in the house a little rude and didn't make an effort to speak to her... No other reason really. She loses -10 Friendship with Griffin.
Brooklynn also gives the same reason for August, she didn't have a lot to go on and she had to pick someone, so she chose two guys that she thought could handle it well. She loses -10 Friendship with August.
*And there you have it, that was "The Launch Night" of the challenge! In the next episode you will see the kick off of the Actions/Conflicts/Bonds/Whims, The Secret Tasks and the Nominee Actions. Also in the next episode, we will find out who will be the first to be evicted... Will it be Griffin? Or will it be August?... The Viewers will decide!
