Sims 4 Sequester 1.0 Part 6 (Odd Numbered Vote)

*You Can Click Above For The Previous Part!!*

Previously on Sequester.... A thunderstorm shook the house, and it was a sign of things to come.

When the sims were tasked with picking out the biggest floaters in the game, some of them chose to cop out by picking arguably the biggest player in the game as a target and Mimi was pissed. It was Mimi, Shaun and Sydney who were picked and they became the only sims eligible for the vote.

With an LoS in her back pocket, Sydney wasn't worried at all, and already had a secure spot to the next round.

As for Mimi and Shaun, they became the prime targets for the week, with the entire house split between the two. They both fought hard to get people on their side and worked hard to secure allies who would stand by them.

In the end, the split house and tie vote led to wheel spin that shockingly cut out the biggest Social Player in the game. Brielle was sent out of the house automatically..

Out of her bitterness, she chose fellow veterans Griffin and Sterling to compete in the Battle Match, in hopes that Griffin would take her rival Sterling out...

She got her wish and Griffin won the Battle Match, sending Sterling out the door right behind her. The two rivals joined the other 8 eliminated housemates to decide who should return to the game.

It was a no brainer. Brielle fought hard for her place in the house and her game should've never been decided by a Wheel Spin. As the most likable eliminated houseguest, her peers voted her back into the game for a 2nd shot at the title! As much of a scary experience this was for Brielle and her game, one good thing did come out of it.... Her rival, Sterling, is now out of the game, and she's setting herself up to go far. 11 Sims remain, a big rule change is about to rock the house and the fight for the title of winner has never been more intense. Who's going home tonight on Sequester 1.0?!

THE RULE SHIFT
-Now that we are at the halfway point of the game, some of the rules have changed.

-All LoS's have been nullified and can no longer be used. The sims must now rely on their gameplay to stay in the game.

-There will still be a competition for immunity, and the sim who wins will not be vulnerable to the vote and can not be picked in the Battle Match. Immunity has never been so important! (Immunity may not be available in some rounds.)

-The sim that is eliminated in the vote will no longer be automatically eliminated from the game. They will instead go into the Battle Match. Only 1 sim will be leaving the game each round now, instead of 2.

-When choosing their opponent for the Battle Match, there is a twist. All sims that voted for the "eliminated" sim must all stand, and the "eliminated" sim will then have to pick one of those sims to compete against. (They will pick the sim they have the lowest relationship with.)

-The vote will no longer automatically eliminate a sim, they will have a chance to fight for their place in the game!

-Voting has never been this risky. Voting out a target could result in them being the one eliminated from the game!

*Things are about to get very interesting, are you ready for the Rule Shift?! Let's get it started!*

THE VOTE RULES
-Odd Numbered Vote: This round, only an Odd Numbered Vote will count. The sim with the highest number of Odd Numbered Votes will automatically face the Battle Match. Any Even Numbered Vote Totals will be discarded.

ALLIANCES ENDING
*With each round being a reset, that means we have to crumble all the alliances that worked together in the previous round. Only a few special alliances will persist throughout the game.*

ALLIANCES END

After being voted back into the game by her eliminated peers, Brielle has a 2nd chance in the game! It was a no brainer that she deserved to come back the most.

Devin and Sydney's LoS's have been revoked and they will no longer have a safety net to fall back on. From here on, it's all about their gameplay moving forward.

That wheel spin couldn't have come at a better time for Mimi. She continues to fight her way through this game and is a serious threat to win it all. However, her poor relationships may be her downfall, even if she makes it to the end.

Sydney immediately starts sucking up to her housemates, knowing she doesn't have a backup plan anymore. She does not want to be the target.

Griffin is feeling confident after his Battle Match win against a strong competitor like Sterling. It really gave him a confidence boost heading into the 2nd half of the game. However, he's not pleased with Brielle, risking him like that for her own selfish needs.

Mimi and Ervin have a steamy flirt session in the kitchen alone. It seems Mimi is at work once again.

Chad's charms don't seem to work on Sydney, they have a very unpleasant conversation.

It seems Shaun and Mimi have bonded over being targeted by the entire house last round. Is this the start of a new working relationship between the two outsiders?

Day 1 Actions/Conflicts/Alliances x2

Action: Outdoorsy sims are feeling antsy and feel a need to vent to a friend. Jordan vents to Mimi, and Griffin vents to Chad. They gain +10 Friendship with their close friend.

Action: Creative/Ambitious/Natural Performer sims think outside the box. They gain +10 Friendship with the house. This includes Shaun, Sydney, Chad Jr, Brielle and Ervin.

Conflict: Unflirty/Jealous Sims are having trouble keeping their cool. They lose -10 Friendship with the house. This includes Mimi, Shaun and Otis.

Conflict: Animal lovers are spiraling without their furry friends. They lose -10 Friendship. This only includes Chad Jr.

ALLIANCES

Alliance: Griffin and Sydney decide to give their alliance another chance this round. These Social Outcasts gain +30 Friendship with each other. Sydney pushes for Mimi, since herself and The Oldies have been trying to get her out for so long. However, Griffin isn't willing to give up Mimi, he's been working with her in this game. Griffin wants Devin out, and since Sydney also dislikes Devin, she's willing to compromise. Because Griffin is leading this vote, if Devin is the sim voted out and loses the Battle Match, he will gain +2 AP. Sydney will gain +1 AP for being a part of this alliance. The Social Outcasts are targeting Devin.

Alliance: Showmance! Mimi gets the roll and decides to take her new found romance with Ervin to the next level. They now have a persisting Showmance Alliance and gain +20 Romance. It seems that Mimi's side of the house wants Devin out this round, but Ervin is close to Devin. He's not willing to compromise and mentions Shaun as a target. Mimi dislikes Shaun as well, so she's willing to change her plans to suit her new ally. If Shaun is voted out and loses the Battle Match, Ervin will gain +2 AP for leading the vote, and Mimi will gain +1 AP for being a part of the alliance. The Showmance is targeting Shaun.

Mimi fills in her Final 2 on the plan to target Shaun and Jordan is willing to go along with her plans as usual. Because Mimi has convinced Jordan to vote for her target, she will gain +2 AP is Shaun is voted out and loses the Battle Match. Jordan will gain +1 AP for going along with it. The Final 2 is targeting Shaun.

Happy to have his Final 2 back in the game, Chad Jr and Brielle meet up to discuss their target for the round. They both feel like it's best to push for Shaun leaving. Brielle has a vendetta against Sterling, and considering that Shaun was his closest ally, it seems she has no interest in working with him. However, because Chad is lower friendship with Shaun, he is spearheading the vote for this alliance. Chad will gain +2 AP if Shaun is voted out and loses the Battle Match. Brielle will gain +1 AP for being a part of the Alliance. The Final 2 is targeting Shaun.

DAY 1 ACTIONS END

It's not looking too good for Shaun. He's consistently being targeted by his housemates and his name is constantly coming up every round. I think his relationship with Sterling really painted a target on his back.

Mimi didn't start the vote this time but she certainly has pulled a lot of strings for Ervin to make it happen. This girl is so good at Sequester. She will be remembered as an amazing gameplayer.

Shaun continues to work on his relationships and doesn't give up. I think he senses he may be in danger this week but isn't going to let it defeat him. Hopefully for him he can win the Immunity Competition.

THE IMMUNITY COMPETITION

The housemates go head to head in a Fun Run Competition to decide who will be immune from the vote for this round. With so many fit sims still in the house, this should be interesting. The last sim to remain on their treadmill without stepping off or falling will be the winner!

Monica is the first one to drop out of the competition.

Griffin is the next to drop out.

Not good for Devin, he has some eyes on him this week and did not manage to get immunity for himself.

Valiant effort for Mimi before dropping. I don't think she really needs it this round, it doesn't seem like they are coming after her for once.

Otis steps off midway. A floater's gonna float.

Sydney puts up a good fight but gives up.

Chad doesn't feel like he needs it, so he steps off.

It comes down to 4. Brielle, Ervin and Jordan, major fitness buffs.... and Shaun, who continues to fight for his life!

Chad openly cheers on his Final 2. I don't know if that's a smart move or not.

Sydney does the opposite, trying to help her friend Shaun by talking junk to Ervin to throw him off.

Shaun pushes hard to win this competition, he's not nearly as athletic as the other 3.

Ervin steps off! Sydney's plan worked!

But sadly for Shaun, he can't take anymore and his body gives out on him. He's very disappointed in himself. It's now down to Brielle and Jordan! The two most fit sims in the house.

Brielle is starting to get tired but hangs in there.

Jordan steps off, and Brielle wins immunity!

Brielle definitely does not feel safe after that Wheel Spin almost took her out of the game. The only way to secure her safety in this game is to win Immunity and now she can breathe easy this round!

IMMUNITY COMPETITION END

Shaun and Sydney have a very up and down relationship. They fight and then they laugh together, it's like a Brother/Sister relationship. Shaun is very grateful for Sydney trying to help him win the competition. She tries to cheer him up after his loss.

Mimi has a trash talk session with Monica in the bathroom. I think she's hoping to get Monica's help this week. They've worked together in the past.

Ervin has made a couple small moves in the game, but he still continues to float by. I'm not sure if he's gonna pick it up toward the end or not, but it seems he's making a little more effort now to integrate himself into some alliances.

DAY 2 ACTIONS/CONFLICTS/ALLIANCES x2

Action: Hates Children/Non Committal sims are good at playing all sides of the house. They gain +10 Friendship with the house. This includes Ervin, Jordan, Monica and Griffin.

Action: The sim with Highest Cooking Skill is making meals for everyone in the house, therefore improving relationships with their housemates. They gain +10 Friendship with the house. This goes to Brielle.

Conflict: Goofball/Geek/Space Enthusiast sims have trouble relating to others. They lose -10 Friendship with the house. This includes Mimi, Shaun, Chad Jr, Griffin and Brielle.

Conflict: Emotions are running high, and Unflirty/Jealous sims are going off every other day. They lose -10 Friendship with the house. This includes Mimi, Shaun and Otis.

ALLIANCES

*No Change with the Day 1 Alliances.*

New Alliance: A Fitness Alliance is formed including the 3 sims with the highest Fitness Skill in the house. They gain +30 Friendship with each other. This includes Ervin, Brielle and Jordan. All 3 of them are already in on the plan to target Shaun this week, but as the person with lowest friendship to the target, Ervin is leading the vote on this alliance. He is already gain +2 AP if Shaun leaves, and Jordan and Brielle are still set to gain +1 AP. The Fitness Alliance is targeting Shaun.

New Alliance: The Strategy Alliance forms based on the 3 sims with highest fitness, charisma and logic. Jordan for fitness, Monica for charisma and Sydney for logic. They all gain +30 friendship with each other. Jordan explains the plan that is already in motion to the two girls. As one of Shauns closest friends, Sydney is not on board with this plan. Monica, however, is not close to Shaun and is willing to join in for this plan. This leaves Sydney out of the majority, but she has no intention of going after her friend. Jordan will now gain +2 AP if Shaun leaves, instead of +1 AP for leading another alliance in the plan. Monica will be gaining +1 AP for going along with the plan. The Strategy Alliance is targeting Shaun.

ALLIANCES END

IN DANGER ROLL

Feeling obligated to warn her friend, following her meeting with The Strategy Alliance, Sydney immediately finds Shaun and fills him in on what is going on. They gain +10 Friendship. Shaun is pretty shaken by the news and is tired of being a target.

Shaun gets a roll to potentially help him turn things around, but seems defeated. His roll is to lay low and he doesn't get anything for it. It looks like he's just preparing to face The Battle Match and fight for his spot in the house. As of right now, he is the prime target, but with it being an Odd Numbered vote, who knows what could happen?

IN DANGER END

DAY 2 ALLIANCE TARGETS
*This is a rundown of The Alliances in the game for this round and who they will be targeting going into the vote. The sim initiating the vote will gain +2 Alliance Points if their target goes out, and the sim/sims following their lead will gain +1 Alliance Point.*

THE VOTE

It's an Odd Numbered Vote and once again, it seems Mimi has rallied an army to focus on the two boys she really doesn't want in this game. All eyes are on Shaun and Devin and it's definitely looking like another guy is going home. With the girls having such horrible luck in Sequester so far, the 4 remaining seem to really be playing the game. This is the first vote of the rule shift, implementing the new voting rule. The sim with the votes to face the Battle Match will then pick their opponent out of the sims who voted for them. Let's find out how this vote plays out!

Shaun gets 6 votes.... I guess they didn't plan well enough for the Odd Numbered Vote. Because this vote ended up even, Shaun is safe. It seems that Strategy Alliance didn't realize how close Sydney was with The Target. There are 5 votes left, let's see where they land! This is about to get very interesting.

Devin ALSO avoids getting voted into The Battle Match, receiving 4 votes. With 10 votes already being counted, that means only one vote remains and that is Devin's... Whoever Devin votes for will automatically be going in The Battle Match! Are you ready to find out who it is?!?!

Left in the dark and unaware of what was going on this round, Devin assumed Mimi was going to be the target. This puts Mimi at 1 vote which is the only Odd Numbered Vote of the round...

Mimi is shaken and has no idea how her plan went wrong. Unaware of who flipped and counting the numbers, she doesn't know what happened. She was so sure her plan was full proof. She didn't realize that Sydney was against her, making her big alliance's vote Even instead of Odd. Luckily for her, the voters are then asked to stand, and Mimi is ready to exact revenge on all the people who turned on her.

Then comes the awkward realization that Devin is the only person to stand up, and that her plan fell through because the vote on her target was Even. Mimi is livid and ready to battle it out with Devin. She's worked so hard in this game, it can't end here.

Devin is feeling confident. He doesn't think Mimi is that strong, and in most competitions he will have an advantage. If Devin manages to win this Battle Match and stay in the game, he will gain +2 AP for taking out his target.

THE VOTE END

THE BATTLE MATCH

The Battle Match is 3D Blocking. They are both given the same puzzle to solve and the first person to finish and step off the platform will be the winner and continue in the game!

Mimi has fought so hard thus far in the game to keep her name off the block regardless of how hated she is. But she knows she's a target and has been training for this. She's ready to fight to stay in the game.

Devin was left pretty shook that no one else voted for Mimi. He was completely left out of the loop and blindsided that he was on the outs with the house. He's definitely feeling nervous and knows he may be in for a rough couple of rounds if he manages to win this Battle Match. Devin is a competitor and he knows taking out Mimi will be amazing for his Resume.

As you can see, one sim clearly finishes before the other and starts stepping off their platform.

Mimi does it! She wins her 2nd Battle Match and stays in the game! Her confidence is through the roof. Not only did she save herself, but her main target that she was unable to convince her alliance to target, is now out of the game by her own hands. Mimi is really running away with this game and will be hard to beat if she makes it to the end. It won't be an easy road for her, but if she does manage to make it there, she deserves it!

Poor Devin. The round he loses his LoS, he lands in danger and is eliminated from the game. He had no idea what was going on this round and I guess that's his own fault that he didn't catch on to being a target. He wasn't very likable, but played a pretty good game up to this point. Challenging Mimi is a dangerous game and he paid the price for it. Devin now becomes the first member of the Jury of 9 that will decide the winner at the end of the game.

*No one is getting AP this round because of how it played out.*

*Another crazy round of Sequester led to an unexpected result. These Even and Odd Numbered votes are tough, and it's hard to trust a group to follow through. Had Sydney went along with The Strategy Alliance to vote out her friend, Shaun, he would've been voted into the Battle Match over Mimi and I think the result would've went a lot differently. Devin still would've thrown his vote at Mimi and Shaun wouldn't have been able to pick him for the Battle Match. I hope you enjoyed The Rule Shift, I think it is about to get even messier as we get closer to the end! As always, let me know on Twitter how you are enjoying the series and stay tuned for the next episode!*
