Sims 4 Sequester 1.0 Part 9 (Floater Round/Minor Rule Change)

*You Can Click Above For The Previous Part!!*

*PART 9*

Previously on Sequester... Sydney's first Battle Match left her physically and emotionally drained but she managed to save herself in the game.

Jordan was feeling insecure about his ability to win physical competitions after losing to Otis the previous round in a competition he was sure he had in the bag. When the sims competed in a Basketbrawl Competition for Immunity, Jordan redeemed himself and nabbed immunity for himself.

Otis went from unknown, to biggest threat within one round. His 5 v 1 Rock Climbing Victory had the whole house shook and now they were looking to take him out of the game.

Chad and Monica had other plans. Looking to save their own skin by throwing rogue votes on Shaun, to not only keep themselves out of the Battle Match, but have a backup plan in case the votes on Otis didn't go even.

Their plan paid off, but as the entire house stood up, expecting a unanimous vote against Otis, it was pretty clear to everyone else that Chad and Monica were being shady.

In an attempt to improve his resume, Otis challenged one of the biggest players in the game for The Battle Match and won!

Sydney became the 3rd Member of The Jury of 9 that will decide the winner of Sequester 1.0. With only 2 girls remaining in the game, it's looking like odds are in the favor of a guy winning Season 1. But crazier things have happened. We are now down to 8 Sims and a big change is about to shake up the game! We are inching ever closer to the final, and it's going to be a brutal fight to the finish! Let's get into it!

Otis confirms everyone's fears by winning that Battle Match. He smoked Sydney in bowling and the house is starting to wonder if he can be beat. Is he just gonna win his way to the final?! If so, he could be unbeatable. It's the conversation that's floating around the house by everyone and it's clear... Everyone is getting worried now.

THE VOTING RULES
-This round will be a "Floater Round" meaning the sims will meet in the living room and vote for the sim they have the relationship closest to "0" with. The votes will be tallied and the 3 to 4 sims with the most votes will be the only ones eligible to vote for. There will not be an opportunity at Immunity, once the floaters are decided it's final and the only way to save their self is by defending themselves to their housemates in hopes they will keep them.

ALLIANCES ENDING
*With each round being a reset, that means we have to crumble all the alliances that worked together in the previous round. Only a few special alliances will persist throughout the game.*

FINAL 2:
*Sydney Eliminated, will now be a Jury Alliance.*

DOWN TO THE WIRE (RULE CHANGE!)
*Now that we are down to 8 Sims, things are getting real and the finish line is in sight! This means every interaction and little detail of their conversations and moves will matter that much more.*

-ALL ROLLS will now count a +20/-20 rather than +10/-10, and there will be still x2 Actions/Conflicts/Alliances each day. This could really destroy social games if they have a bad day, and this close to the end, every move should matter! It's time to separate the garden snakes from the anacondas.

RULE CHANGE END

Brielle's confidence is starting to waver. As they approach the end, she is noticing all the girls dropping like flies and is feeling like there is a guys alliance in play. On top of that, she's noticed how close Chad and Monica are getting, and feels like she may be replaced. After watching his Big Brother Season, Brielle didn't think for a second that Chad would be playing a shady game, but she's starting to wonder... Is he really as loyal as he wants people to believe? That shady vote last round really has her reconsidering her options in the game. She lost Sydney, and isn't trusting Chad now. Brielle is feeling very alone in the game.

I don't think Chad and Monica realized how shady they were going to look by not voting with the rest of the house last round. Their decision to flip on that vote looked really bad to the rest of the house and they could be in trouble because of it.

DAY 1 ACTIONS/CONFLICTS/ALLIANCES x2

Action: The Prankster of the house is making everyone laugh today. The sim with the highest mischief skill receives +20 Friendship with the house. This goes to Ervin.

Action: Loner/Gloomy/Socially Awkward Sims are starting for feel more comfortable in the house. They gain +20 Friendship with their housemates. This goes to Shaun and Griffin.

Conflict: Animal Lover Sims wont shut up about their pets and it's annoying the other houseguests. -20 Friendship with the house. This goes to Chad Jr.

MAJOR CONFLICT

Conflict: House Divided! This round, the house has been split into two groups. This is the first time this season that we've had a split house. The two sides have developed into Newbies vs Veterans (Plus Monica). Side 1: Shaun/Ervin/Otis/Jordan & Side 2: Griffin/Chad Jr/Brielle/Monica. The sides will gain +20 friendship with each other and -20 friendship with the other side of the house. This could really shake things up. It seems that the vets are looking to stick together in the game to try and get to the end by picking off the newbies. Monica has been in deep with Chad as of late, so it was obvious he was going to rope her in with them.

*Because of the circumstances of this round, Day 1 Alliances are going to be done AFTER the floaters have been selected. Up next is the floater vote!*

PART 1 OF DAY 1 ACTIONS END

THE FLOATER VOTE

For the second time this season, the housemates were gathered and asked to name who they think are the biggest floaters in the house. This is based on who they have the relationship closest to 0 with. (This is to mimic them not really doing anything in the game, in the eyes of that sim. Even a negative relationship with a sim would show that they are having an impact on the game, but a relationship at 0 would make the sim think they aren't doing anything and just floating by.)

Shaun is the only sim remaining in the house that has been voted in as a floater before. Has he managed to change the house's perception of him, or will he be voted in as a floater again? Let's get into the vote.

Jordan still seems to have hard feelings towards Chad in this game after his part that was played in Mimi's demise. Chad receives 1 vote.

Otis brings up a point that Brielle has never been in danger and she's just floating by in the game. He's not wrong... For some reason the house is letting her skate by, solely off the fact that she's so likable. But that is a mistake. Otis is the only person in the house that seems to be telling it like it is, and it doesn't seem like anyone is willing to listen to him, considering associating with such a big target could put a target on them as well. The fear in this house is real.

Ervin and Shaun both agree that Monica has been hopping alliances since the beginning of the game and hasn't really made any moves of her own. They don't see her winning the game, and are voting her in as a floater because they want to see her actually fight for her game.

The veterans stay unified and were definitely more prepared for this vote than the other side ones. The vets throw 4 votes on Otis, basing it off the fact that Otis has hardly ever been on the right side of the vote for the entirety of the game and is only here based off of his physical ability. That kind of gameplay should not be rewarded in the end, and the underdog story is overdone.

With 2 votes on Monica and 4 votes on Otis, they are the highest vote geters and will be facing the vote this week.

However, because there was a tie between Chad and Brielle at 1 vote each, we will need to have a revote between the two. They will not be voting, and the rest of the house must decide whether Chad or Brielle should face this vote alongside Monica and Otis!

THE REVOTE

After a discussion between both sides of the house, there are a lot of conflicting ideas and opinions. It's a tough choice picking between the two but one is eventually made.

Otis stands by his earlier vote that Brielle needs to face the floater round, and Monica is clearly not going to vote against her Final 2. Brielle receives 2 out of the 6 votes.

Chad ruffled a lot of feathers in the last round by throwing a rogue vote with Monica to avoid the Battle Match and save his ass. Most of the house was unhappy with that kind of underhanded gameplay, so it's no surprise that some of the house has turned on him.

With 4 votes, Chad will be joining Monica and Otis in the Floater Round Vote! It's now up to their housemates to decide who's going into the Battle Match. They will not be given the opportunity at Immunity, this whole round is to see them fight for their games. Because of this, all 3 of them will automatically be receiving an In Danger Roll both days.

FLOATER VOTE END

Shaun manages to dodge a bullet, and kept his mouth shut for the majority of it. He was very worried going in that he'd be a cop out target, but Shaun has done a good job of turning his game around as of late. He hasn't been a prime target for a few rounds now, and is doing a good job keeping his name out of the ring. I thought the exits of Sydney and Mimi would immediately put him in danger, but I was wrong.

ALLIANCES

The newbie side has some trouble coming to a conclusion. It's hard for them to decide between Monica and Chad being the targets because they've both played shady games and both of them need to go. Jordan and Ervin are set on taking a veteran out this round, and going for Chad. While Otis and Shaun aren't agreeing and feel like Monica should be the one to go, she'd be easier to beat in a Battle Match. The newbies are at a complete stalemate and can't agree on a target. It seems they are split.

For the vet side, it's clearly a no brainer. All 4 of them have agreed to stick together and vote for Otis. None of them really have to discuss it. Even though Brielle is still feeling a little betrayed by Chad, it seems like she wants to play a loyal game and is afraid to do anything underhanded... at least at this point in the game. If Otis goes this round, Brielle will gain +2 AP for leading this vote, Monica/Chad/Griffin will gain +1 AP.

New Alliance: Fishing Alliance: The two sims with the highest fishing skill band together and gain +30 Friendship. This goes to Chad and Griffin. After that Floater Meeting, Chad is feeling a little paranoid, with Griffin voting for him over Brielle. Chad wants to reel him back in and make sure he has his vote going forward. Griffin assures Chad that he's in his corner and that voting Brielle would've been really bad for his game. He tells Chad that because of the waves he made in the last round, he didn't have any other choice between the two of them. There is no change strategically here, both of them are still voting against Otis for this vote. The Fishing Alliance is targeting Otis.

New Alliance: Showmance: Ervin uses his charm and good looks to weasel his way into another Showmance, now that Mimi is out of the house. He sets his sights on Otis, and they gain +20 Romance. Ervin looks to cozy up to him, in the off chance that he can't be beat in a Battle Match. Otis hasn't been looking for alliances for most of the game, so it seems Ervin wants his bases covered. Ervin is cocky, and thinks he could beat Otis in a Final 2 Scenario. The two discuss the topic of Chad vs Monica once more, and Otis makes some good points to Ervin, swaying him toward voting for Monica now. Ervin would much rather go after Chad this round, but since Otis isn't budging, I think he's willing to put that plan on the back burner. If Monica is voted in and goes, Otis will gain +2 AP, and Ervin will gain +1 AP. The Showmance is targeting Monica.

PERSISTING ALLIANCES

Chad meets with Brielle and they have a heart to heart. He does his best to explain what happened in the last round in hopes that Brielle won't turn on him. He really needs her vote and just wants to make sure they are still on board for Otis. Brielle assures him nothing has changed. There is no change here. The Final 2 is targeting Otis.

Jordan and Ervin meet up to discuss this round's vote. Ervin tells Jordan that Otis is not going to switch to Chad, he knows he's the target and he would much rather go to a Wheel Spin. Jordan questions that decision. Though it could potentially take a big target out the game, it also has potential to take one of them out too. It's not worth it... Jordan tells Ervin that they should just let Otis get voted in, and they would be avoiding the Battle Match regardless... Otis will pick a vet or Monica to battle against and they move on to the next round. Ervin listens and once again changes his mind. (This has been a rough round for Ervin.) Ervin is now back to voting for Chad. If Chad is voted in a goes, Jordan will gain +2 AP for leading the vote, and Ervin will gain +1 AP. The Final 2 is targeting Chad.

Griffin meets with his Showmance, whos on the opposite side of the house and they try to figure everything out. Griffin tries to convince Shaun that he needs to vote against Otis this round to avoid it going to a Wheel Spin. A Wheel Spin is too dangerous. Shaun doesn't seem that receptive to the idea and tries to push Griffin to vote for Monica then. It's pretty clear that neither of them are willing to budge, and it's pretty obvious they aren't gonna be voting together this round. No Change.

Chad and Monica have a quick meeting just to touch base, and it's pretty obvious that with both of them in danger, they are going to gang up on the odd person out. They are 100% voting against Otis this round, No Change. The Final 2 is targeting Otis.

DAY 1 ACTIONS END

IN DANGER ROLLS

Chad chooses to use Smart Strategy and increase his relationships with the entire house. He gains +5 Friendship with everyone.

Monica opted into using her time wisely, and trying to pull 2 sims on the opposite side of the house to her side. She has a nice chat with Shaun and Ervin, and gains +15 Friendship.

Otis is feeling defeated, he feels like it's inevitable that the other side of the house is gonna vote for him no matter what he does, so he just lays low. No Change. Otis is just preparing for the Battle Match.

IN DANGER END

Monica and Chad's risky gameplay has put them in quite a predicament. It's pretty clear that even if Otis goes this round, they could be in danger. Chad didn't really take risks in Big Brother, and it looks like he's trying something different for a better outcome. Monica is evil, and it's not really any surprise that she's been hopping alliances and stabbing people in the back where she sees fit.

Ervin has been trying to keep his cool in the game, but this round has been extremely stressful for him. His side of the house has been pulling him in two different directions on this vote and he's been very conflicted. It seems he's still a little upset with Chad over Mimi's exit. It really put him and his Final 2, Jordan, in a bad spot in the house and they blame Chad for it.

Ervin puts Chad in his place, and the whole house was watching. Chad's game has been crumbling. The sim I thought had a key to the final is becoming a target, and it's shocking. I can't believe the house had the balls to turn on him like that.

Shaun is having a much better time in the house without Sydney and Sterling dragging him down. The house's perception of him has completely changed, and for the better. Not getting voted into the Floater Round again really boosted his confidence.

On the flip side, it's been dark days for Brielle. Her backup Final 2 was eliminated last round, and her main Final 2 is showing a shady side that she doesn't really wanna be associated with. She's been so conflicted, and as one of the last 2 girls remaining, Brielle isn't feeling as confident as she once was.

Griffin still manages to play the middle, schmoozing with the other side of the house to ensure his name isn't on anyone's lips. Griffin has laid low for the majority of the game, but when he was voted into a Battle Match once, he kicked it into high gear to stay in the game. Griffin is playing a smart social game and has been on the right side of the vote quite often. I think Griffin could have a strong resume going into Final 4 and could be a threat to win if the cards fall in his favor.

The next morning, Ervin is feeling pretty bad about his fight with Chad the night before. He wanted to sit down and talk it out. The conversation goes pretty well, and they get out some of the feelings they've had toward each other over the last few rounds.

Griffin and Shaun remain close, even though they aren't voting together this round. They want to make sure that connection remains strong going into the next round.

DAY 2 ACTIONS/CONFLICTS/ALLIANCES x2

Action: Unflirty/Jealous Sims have been doing a good job of holding it together today. They gain +20 Friendship with the house. This goes to Shaun and Otis.

Action: Active/Bro/Handy Sims are currently off the radar, the house is afraid to take a swipe at them just yet. They gain +20 Friendship with the house. This goes to Otis, Jordan, Brielle.

Conflict: First roll was No Conflict. Second Roll was "A Sim has Snapped!" Otis has been fed some information that Chad is the mastermind behind him becoming a target (which was a lie, it's actually Jordan, due to his jealousy of Otis. But he doesn't know that and trusts Jordan.) Otis makes it clear that Chad is a snake and deserves to be the one going into the Battle Match, not him. They argue all the way into the red. (Chad's really been getting it at all angles this round.)

DAY 2 ALLIANCES
*No Changes within the persisting alliances from yesterday.*

New Alliance: First Roll was No New Alliance. Second Roll was a "Young Alliance", as the youngest 3 sims in the house, Jordan/Chad/Griffin enter a new alliance and gain +30 Friendship. Chad and Griffin try very hard to sway Jordan to flip his vote and vote with their side of the house this round. He is outnumbered, however, because he has a Final 2 and they have bigger plans, he wont be voting with Chad/Griffin and will be voting with Ervin. There is No Change with this alliance other than Friendship Gains.

 DAY 2 ACTIONS END

IN DANGER ROLLS

Chad's pretty confident in the work he's done this round to keep himself from being voted into The Battle Match. He decides to lay low today. No Change.

Believe it or not, Monica once again decides to Campaign to Shaun and Ervin for +15 Friendship! This girl is really working these boys to stay in this game.

Otis has accepted his fate, and once again chooses not to do anything in his In Danger Roll. No Change.

IN DANGER END

DAY 2 ALLIANCE TARGETS

THE VOTE

Another crazy round! A split house changes up the game, with one side unified and the other in chaos. The fear of another Wheel Spin leads to some sims not being as loyal as they'd like to make people believe. Shadiness continues to dominate this game, with Ervin and Jordan now at the forefront. They are letting Otis take the bullet to save their own asses. I think we all know how this vote is gonna turn out, let's not waste anymore time.

Otis and Shaun stay true to their word, targeting Monica in hopes that the other two will vote with them. It didn't play out that way. Monica is at 2 votes.

Jordan and Ervin throw away their votes on Chad to avoid a Wheel Spin, and keep their names out of the Battle Match. Chad receives 2 votes, the newbie side of the house was split down the middle.

No surprises here, the side of The Vets + Monica stay loyal to each other, and have a plan in place. Otis receives 4 votes and that is enough. Back into the Battle Match he goes.

The Second Battle Match for Otis, in a row. Can he break the curse of going home on the second?! Otis has proven to be quite the comp beast. Now, comes the interesting part. The 4 sims that voted for Otis must now stand up, and Otis will be selecting one of them to compete against for a spot in this game. His choices are all massive threats in this game, it's about to get interesting.

Just as he suspected, Chad/Monica/Griffin/Brielle stand up and he must now pick one to battle against. Based off his previous altercation and his views on how the game should be played, I think we know who he's going to pick....

Otis will be taking on Chad! Chad has won Immunity Competitions, so depending on what it is, it could really go either way. These two guys are ready to compete, they both wanna stay in this game more than anything!

THE BATTLE MATCH

Much like the Battle of Mimi vs. Sydney, the boys get a Battle Match that isn't really suited to either of their skillsets. They aren't known to be the most intelligent sims in the house, so this will be very interesting! In Logic Tester, they will be given a question based on a Random Skill. The Random Skill will be added to their Logic, and the sim with the highest score will earn a point. This will be a Best of 5 Competition, meaning the first to 3 will be the winner! I'm nervous, let's get into it!

The first round's question is about Programming!

With a score of 7 to 6, Otis is the first to Buzz in with the correct answer and earns a point. Otis 1: Chad 0

The next question pertains to Video Gaming!

With a score of 11 to 7, Chad is the first to buzz in with the correct answer and earns a point! Otis 1: Chad 1

The next question is about Pet Training!

With a score of 5 to 4, Otis earns himself another point! Otis 2: Chad 1

The next question pertains to Painting!

Being one of Chad's hidden talents, Chad buzzes in with a score of 12 to 5, earning himself another point! Otis 2: Chad 2 There is only ONE question left, it's completely tied up! The sim to get the next question right will win and remain in the game, the lose will be going to The Jury House!

The final question is about Vampire Lore!

With a score of 7 to 4, Otis WINS the Battle Match and moves on in the competition! CHAD IS OUT!!!

AHHHH!!! I'm so sad that Chad is out. He was bringing the drama, and he was bringing the gameplay. He played sooooo much differently from his Big Brother Season, and I was living for it. I thought for sure he was going all the way and I'm shocked at how his game plummeted this round. Those rolls did not go in his favor at all. Had Otis not got that roll to fight with him right before the vote, he probably wouldn't have been the one that got picked. This game is so brutal, and he got done dirty. But it makes sense that no one would want to go to the end with Chad, he probably had the best chance of winning out of the remaining 8. He becomes the 4th Member of The Jury of 9 that will decide the winner of Sequester 1.0!!

*Otis has become quite the underdog in this game. Coming out of no where as a comp beast, the house is terrified of him. I'm just shook to see all of these big game players going 1 by 1. Such an amazing strategic season, I really like how this challenge is turning out. I hope you are all enjoying it, let me know what you think on Twitter!! Expect a new episode soon, and keep an eye out for news on Big Brother UK Season 2, which should be coming very soon!*

PART 10 COMING SOON!!
