Sims 4 Sequester 1.0 Part 1 (Rotation 1: Odd Numbered Votes)

*You Can Click Above To Return To The Sequester Home Page!!*

*PART 1*

*20 Sims are about to embark on a brand new journey that will push them to their physical and mental limits. Sequester is a Fast Moving Strategy Competition where they have to roll with the punches to survive. Alliances form and break as fast as you can blink an eye, so being able to adapt will be make or break for most of these competitors. Before we Meet The Houseguests, let's take a look at the house they will be staying at over the next few weeks.*

THE HOUSE TOUR

(House Entrance, Bar/Kitchen Setup, Outdoor Pool/Lounge/Workout Area)

(Have Not Room From BB6 *Probably Wont Be Used*, House Overview, Bathrooms)

 (Hallway, Regal Bedroom, Nature Bedroom)

(Pink Bedroom, Other Hallway, Hippie Bedroom)

(Laundry Area, Chess Table Overlook, Purple Bedroom)

 (Upstairs Bath, The Elimination Room)

*That's the house, it's an updated version of the house I used for BB US All Stars Season 6 which I haven't written on the blog at the moment of writing this series. I loved the house and didn't feel like making a new one, so I'm reusing it! For those who are new to the series, I'm going to give you a brief rundown of how this show is going to work, because if you are a fan of Big Brother, you'll quickly find out, it's a very different game.*

THE RULES OF SEQUESTER
Basic Overview:
  • We Start With 20 Sims
  • Each Round, 2 will leave, until we are down to 10.
  • Vote Conditions vary and will be ever changing to force strategizing.
  • Each Round, The Eliminated Contestant will pick 2 other sims to compete in a Battle Match.
  • The losing sim in the Battle Match will also be eliminated.
  • From 20 to 10, there will be two Idols in play known as the Locus of Safety.
  • The LoS will Nullify Votes cast against them that would result in their elimination.
  • The LoS will also cancel a vote toward them to play in a Battle Match.
  • Once an LoS is played, it will leave that Sim's possession and be put back in play for someone to find.
  • Once we reach Top 10, LoS's will no longer be in play and there will be a Rule Shift.
  • Also upon reaching Top 10, the 10 Eliminated Sims will have a round table where they will have to agree on which of the 10 of them will be returning to the game.
  • This will be decided by each sim pointing at the person they want to eliminate and the sim with the most votes each round will be out of the game permanately. This will go on until only 3 are left. At the final 3, the sim going out will drag the other sim they like the least with them, and the remaining sim will reenter the game.
  • At Top 10, the eliminated Sim in a vote will no longer pick two players to compete in a Battle Match.
  • Instead, the eliminated sim will have a chance to stay in the game, and will choose a sim to Battle Against after being voted out.
  • However, there is a twist to this. The eliminated Sim can only pick from the players who voted against them. Any Sim that didn't vote for them will be immune from being selected for the Battle Match.
  • If a Vote leads to a tie, the available sims to vote for will be narrowed to the top vote geters and a revote will take place.
  • If it once again leads to a tie, we go to The Wheel of Fate. The Wheel will randomly select 1 Sim from the entire cast and they will be eliminated on the spot, regardless of their position in the game.
  • At Final 4 the eliminated Sim will have the fate of the other 3 in their hands, as they will get to drag someone to jury with them.
  • Once we are down to 2, a Jury of 9 will return to cast their vote on who should win the game.
  • The winner will be decided by a total of their Charisma, Number of Jury Votes, Competition Wins and "Alliance Moves". A new feature that I will be explaining in detail below.
The Gameplay:
  • Sequester is a Fast Moving Game, and each rotation will only be lasting 2 In Game days.
  • To move the game along, each day will feature 2x Action/Conflict/Alliance Rolls.
  • Alliances will play a major role in this game and for the most part won't persist through a rotation.
  • Because Sequester is a Fast Game, players will have to think on their feet and make moves quickly, so sticking with one alliance throughout isn't really an option. Each round there will be an Alliance Reset, but they will keep the relationships they gained previously with those sims.
  • Final 2's and Final 3's will be the only persisting alliances, all other alliances will only last 1 round.
  • Alliances will be voting together in this game, meaning they will have to come to an agreement on who they are targeting.
  • In a 2 Person Alliance, the two will have to come to an agreement on who their target is by picking someone that both parties dislike.
  • In a 3 Person (Or Higher) Alliance, decisions will be based on majority, so the odd person out will have a decision to make.
  • Will they vote with their alliance, or will they go rogue and let the person know they are being targeted?
  • If a Sim has a Friendship of 51+ or they are in another Alliance with a Sim that's being targeted by their Alliance, they will have the option to tell them they are the target.
  • If the Alliance Sim has a higher relationship with the Target than their allies, they will let them know what's happening.
  • Any sim that is informed they are a target will receive rolls at an attempt to save themselves or throw someone else under the bus for each day they remain a target.
  • A Sim that's In Danger will also have the opportunity to mess up a vote by throwing a vote on their self if they think it would throw off a vote and save them that week. (This will be decided by randomization)
  • "Alliance Moves" are like Big Moves Points for Sequester. The person in the alliance with the lowest relationship toward the target will be labeled as the leader of the Alliance, because they initiated the plan to take them out. The leader of the Alliance will receive 2 points and the followers will receive 1 point for being on the right side of the vote.
  • These Alliance Moves will be used to plead their case to the jury at the end of the game.
*I hope this explanation of the game was easy to follow and helped you understand the game. Are you ready to start Sequester 1.0?! Let's get right into the action!*

*Disclaimer: Everything you will see in this series are depictions of storylines that are made up from autonomous actions between the sims. I have no control of their actions or relationships, I will only be commenting on what they do, and try to make storylines out of it for dramatic effect. No competitions or eliminations will be rigged, everything that happens is of their own free will. Some scenes may be enhanced on a separate save file just for storytelling purposes, but in no way will effect their friendships or relationships in the real game. I hope you enjoy Sequester 1.0!*

20 Sims have entered the Sequester 1.0 House and will be competing for 50,000$!! 14 Newbies, and 6 Returnees will battle it out for the title of Sequester 1.0 Winner! Who has what it takes to tackle this new game?! If you'd like to Meet The Newbies, Click Here!! To Meet The Returnees, Click Here!!

THE GAME BEGINS

The contestants waste no time mingling, and it's pretty clear they are scrambling. They've all been informed of how the game will work and that two sims will be going home tomorrow. Getting into alliances will be crucial as the game progresses, so making those connections early on will surely get them further in the game, right?

THE VOTING CONDITIONS FOR ROTATION 1

*Each Round there will be a new voting condition that will have to be followed and it will be picked at random. The housemates have be informed that this will be an "Odd Number" Round. This means only an Odd Numbered Vote Total will count in the elimination. Even if the sim with the most votes this round has an even number, those votes will be discarded and the eliminated sim will be the next highest with an odd numbered total of votes. (IE: If the highest number of votes toward a sim is 8, those votes would not count, and the sim with the next highest odd number of votes, say 5, would be the one eliminated!)*

VOTING CONDITIONS END

Right out the gate, newcomer Nathaniel seems to be problematic. The youngest sim in the house, he really hasn't experienced life and thinks he knows a lot more than he actually does. OG Big Brother 1 Player, Brielle, is not having it... Not good for him to paint a target on his back so early, especially with a veteran.

Chad wastes no time uses his game knowledge and experience to start jokingly teasing Yaretzi in the pool. She seems to be really charmed by him.

Sterling wastes no time using his connection with Brielle to start a conversation about what should happen on this rotation. They start talking strategy with newcomer Shaun smartly placing himself in the conversation to try and secure some allies.

Shaun felt that he could relate to returnee Sterling, solely based on their similar appearances. It turns out to not be the best idea, as they quickly begin to argue. Sterling has proven in the past not to be the most likable person.

Big Brother Season 8 Vet, Paola, seems to have her own gameplan in mind, and starts working some of the newcomers, Lola and Sydney. Is she looking to form a girls alliance? It did help her out in her Big Brother Season.

Newbies, Mimi and Jordan, really hit it off early. Their friendship rises wildly fast. I think these two will be really close.

Celeste uses her charms to start flirting with Veteran Player, Griffin. She's wasting no time trying to get some of these sims wrapped around her finger.

With so many conversations going on at once, this rotation could turn out to be VERY messy. Everyone has tapered off into tinier groups and we could definitely see some alliances forming.

Devin lives his best life with a Grilled Cheese by the pool. He's not worried, he's just hungry.

Bethany starts yelling at Mimi in front of everyone. Have you learned nothing from BB UK Bethany? Especially as a vet, she should not be making enemies this early. As a vet, she already has a target on her back, and this kind of behavior will only widen it. Let's hope she reels it in and doesn't meet the same early fate as she did in BBUK.

Pawel seems to be starstruck by Chad. They really hit it off.

Yaretzi is looking to try out the "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" strategy, and chooses to work on her Logic rather than jumping into the Alliance Talk Madness.

It's looking like Celeste really wants to work with Griffin in this game. They spend quite a long time chatting on Day 1.

THE IMMUNITY COMPETITION

*Each Rotation, unless stated otherwise, the housemates will be given an opportunity to battle it out for safety. Everyone will be eligible to compete in this immunity competition, and the same Sim can win it multiple rotations in a row. This could be a crucial tool to protect their selves if they feel like they may be in danger. A Sim with Immunity will be completely immune from the vote, Battle Matches, and the dreaded Wheel of Fate.*

The first competition selected for the Sims to compete is Rock Climbing. The Sim that's able to hold on the longest out of all 20 participants will be granted Immunity from this rotation.

As the Sims compete in the Immunity Competition, they are informed that Two LoS's are now in play and will be hidden in the house upon their return. The first two to find these will also have temporary safety in the game.

One LoS is hidden in The Regal Room, and it's behind the Wardrobe.

The other LoS is in the living area, behind the couches.

Michele is the first person to drop out of the competition. Will this be used against her as a reason to target someone?

Griffin is one of the Final 4 out of 20 to still be hanging on, and the only vet to remain.

Young Athlete, Jordan, is also one of the Final 4 hanging on.

Otis also hangs on the best he can, he seems hungry for that immunity and is one of the Final 4 hanging on.

And the most surprising is Sydney. She's not athletic at all, and on top of that, she's the only girl still hanging on.

After a hard fought battle, Otis drops and only one other sim still hangs on, claiming the first Immunity of the series!!

Believe it or not, it's unathletic Sydney that pulls it out! She hangs on for dear life and ensures her safety for this round!

What a performance, I can't believe she managed to beat out 19 other sims in a Rock Climbing Comp. Congratulations to Sydney for making it to the 2nd Round.

THE HUNT FOR AN LoS

While some of the sims continue about their lives, the others scramble for safety.

And without even needing it, Sydney earns herself even more power, finding the first LoS of the season. This will be in play until the Top 10. If she comes into danger of going home, she can play this and earn safety for herself. This will ensure her at least one more round of safety! Sydney is killing it so far!

Lucky for him, Nathaniel finds the second LoS! I'd say he really needs it. He's annoying a lot of people already with his young cocky attitude, and now he's completely safe this round.

*By the way, I use the Lump of Clay to attract sims to them, but the LoS will actually be a more colorful item when played, just for aesthetic reasons.*

THE LoS HUNT END

DAY 1 ACTIONS/CONFLICTS/ALLIANCES x2

*Because this is a faster moving game, and rotations will only last two in game days, each day will include two Action/Conflict/Alliance Rolls. I decided not to Whims for this series.*

Actions: It's the beginning of the game and physical threats are being seen as more of an asset than a liability. Because of this, Active/Bro/Handy Sims are gaining +10 Friendship with the house as they scramble for protection. This roll includes Lola/Sterling/Jordan/Otis/Brielle.

Actions: Social Butterflies are thriving right now as they have a clear advantage at the start of this game, having an easier time making social connections. The sims with the Social Butterfly/Outgoing/Cheerful Traits gain +10 with the house. This includes Paola/Lola/Bethany/Jordan/Monica/Mimi/Yaretzi. Jordan and Lola are doing really well on Day 1.

Conflicts: Mean and hateful sims are obviously struggling early on to make connections. This is a set back that could really hurt these sims early on. Mean/Snob Sims lose -10 Friendship with the house. This includes Lola/Sterling/Bethany/Sydney/Yaretzi/Nathaniel. This roll hit Sydney and Nathaniel harder because they didn't get a positive action roll today.

Conflicts: Battle of the Funnies, a roll Bethany is no stranger to. The two sims with the highest comedy skill are fighting for attention in the house and hate each other, they both want to be the funny one. Chad and Bethany go at it, and sever ties as their relationship plummets into the red. Not looking good so far for the vets, there is already dissension in the ranks.

*I'm going to reiterate that Alliances have changed. Once an Alliance is rolled, I look through their relationships and pick out their lowest ones outside of the Alliance as potential targets. In a 2 Person Alliance, they will be picking the sim that both parties feel comfortable taking a shot at. In some cases this may not be the lowest for one of them, but someone they aren't close to that they are willing to compromise for. In an Alliance of 3 or more, it goes by majority, and one sim might be close to the sim their Alliance is targeting. In this case, they will let their friend know they are a target behind their Alliance's back to give them a fighting chance and cause some drama in the game. Let's find out who's going to be in our first two alliances, and who they will be targeting for this round. All Alliances will be disbanded on the next rotation aside from Final 2's and Final 3's.*

Alliance: An Oldie Alliance forms between the 3 oldest Sims in the house. It looks as though Veteran Player, Sterling, was impressed by Sydney's impressive Immunity Wins and sees her as a possible ally in this game. He's also taking advantage of Shaun's fan status, and is willing to manipulate him and use him as a number. Shaun/Sydney/Sterling all gain +30 Friendship with each other and work together to decide who they will be targeting this round. After some discussion, it's clear Shaun wants to target Bethany, but Sterling doesn't want a vet to go round 1 and steers the conversation towards targeting a newbie instead. Sydney has a strong dislike for Devin, and wants him out of the game. With Steling as the deciding vote, he clearly doesn't want to take out a vet and sides with Sydney on this one. Sydney is leading this alliance and will gain +2 Alliance Points if Devin goes out, Sterline and Shaun will gain +1 Alliance Point if Devin goes out. In this game, the leader of an Alliance will gain more if their target goes out and the followers will also get a point. The leader is decided by who has the lowest relationship with the target. The Oldies will be targeting Devin in the first vote.

Alliance: A strong connection leads to an early Final 2. Jordan and Mimi connected immediately in this game, and have decided to work together no matter what happens. They will have each others backs. With no other alliance offers, they work together to decide what they are going to be doing this week. Mimi's altercation with Nathaniel really got under her skin, and she wants Jordan to vote with her to try and get him out this round. As Jordan has multiple Sims that he's not really close to, and no one he outwardly dislikes, he goes along with Mimi's plan. Mimi is leading the charge on this vote, if Nathan goes out, she will gain +2 Alliance Points and Jordan will gain +1 Alliance Points. The Final 2 is targeting Nathaniel in the first vote.

DAY 1 ACTIONS END

Pawel tries to enjoy his dinner the best he can as Sydney and Nathaniel go at it at the bar. Awkwarddd... Maybe Sydney is regretting targeting Devin and wishes she targeted Nathaniel instead.

Devin plays his night pretty well, occupying the Chess Table for most of the night, engaging in conversation with everyone who comes to play and watch. This could really help him out in the upcoming vote.

We get some boy on boy flirting in the hot tub night one. Things heat up quickly between Ervin and Chad... Chad really knows his strengths in these games, and he's willing to use his social skills to stay safe.

Celeste and Otis get hands on, their relationship is really taking off. I could see them working together.

While most of the house is in bed, some of the girls enjoy a late night snack, and maybe some strategy talk.

DAY 2 ACTIONS/CONFLICTS/ALLIANCES x2

Actions: Entertainment is needed in the house, and Griffin is currently playing a low key game to try to at least survive the first rotation. He's cracking jokes and making the house laugh, he gains +10 Friendship with the house.

Actions: The Lazy/Slob/Glutton sims are keeping the house busy and gain +10 Friendship with the house. This included Chad/Devin/Celeste/Brielle.

Conflicts: Sydney made herself a target by winning immunity, and it's pretty clear she's on the radar of everyone in the house. As the only sim with Art Lover/Photographer's Eye Trait, she loses -10 Friendship with the house. Her relationships have suffered from her stand out performance, but luckily she'll have an LoS to fall back on next week.

Conflicts: Neat/Good/Natural Cooks are driving the house crazy with their OCD Behaviors. They lose -10 Friendship with the house. This includes Jordan/Paola/Shaun/Bethany/Michele.

Alliances: Whether it's intuition or just luck, Devin has secured himself a Final 2 and is looking to make a move this week. I'm not sure if he's caught wind that he is one of the targets this week, but he's really worked on his relationship with Lola and she agrees to enter a Final 2 Alliance with him. They gain +30 Friendship with each other. Devin really wants to take out a vet this week, and is looking to take out Bethany. Lola's main target is Sydney, but because she's safe this week, she goes along with Devin's plan to target Bethany. Devin is leading the charge on this vote, and if Bethany goes out, he will gain +2 Alliance Points, and Lola will gain +1 Alliance Point. The Final 2 is targeting Bethany in the first vote.

Alliances: A Social Butterfly Alliance has now formed based on the 3 Sims in the house with the highest combined Charisma + Comedy Skills. This Alliance includes Paola/Chad/Celeste. They all gain +30 Friendship with each other. Paola and Chad didn't really work together in the season of Big Brother they played together but that familiarity seems to have drawn them together in this game. Celeste is a very likable girl, so it's no surprised she would find herself in with the vets early on. Chad is pretty shaken by his argument with Bethany last night, and is seeing her as a liability. He feels it's best that they just cut her now and be done with it. Because Paola and Celeste don't have any targets in mind, they go along with Chad's Plan. If Bethany is the one leaving this week, Chad will gain +2 Alliance Points for leading the charge, and Celeste/Paola will both gain +1 Alliance Point. The Social Butterflies are targeting Bethany in the first vote.

ALLIANCE RUNDOWN END

*As you can see, Bethany has been making some waves in the house, and while Devin and Nathaniel have been annoying, it's looking like Bethany is in the most danger. These alliances only make up half the house however, so how will the other half of the house be voting this week? That could really be what makes the difference. Will any of the alliances successfully get out their target? We're about to find out. It's time for the first vote of the series! Who do you think is going home first?!*

THE VOTE

It's time for the first vote of the series, and as you know, only Odd Numbered Votes will count. This vote will give people a chance to underhandedly take out a big threat by throwing an odd number of votes on a Sim that's not necessarily a big target in the case that the bigger targets get an even number. Because it's such a high volume of competitors, I'll be showing you a rundown of who got the votes and put the pictures of the sims that voted for them underneath.

Nathaniel threw his vote at Mimi, the two had quite the row on night one, and it seems he held a grudge. He was the only person to vote for Mimi, but a vote of 1 is in contention for highest number of Odd Votes if all the other votes are even... There is a small chance she could be going home first.

Always eating, the ever elegant Devin. I'm not surprised he has enemies in this house. The Oldies are looking to make a move this round in hopes that a big target lands on an even number from the majority of the house. With 3 votes, Devin is now in the lead for the highest number for Odd Numbered Votes. Mimi is now safe, and Devin could be the one evicted. Let's see where the other votes have landed.

Bethany has ruffled a lot of feathers in this house already. I'm starting to think she's just not made for these reality competition shows. As you can see, even her castmate from BBUK Season 1 turned his back on her. It's clear that Griffin sees Bethany as a liability to his game, and thinks it'll be better to distance himself from her to get further in the game. Shady, Shady, Griffin! It also seems that Monica has been reeled in by one of the alliances for this vote. Of course, we already knew the Social Butterflies and the Devin/Lola Final 2 were going to target her. This now puts Bethany at a total of 7 and at the highest number of Odd Numbered Votes, meaning Devin is now safe. Sorry Sydney, you're plan didn't pay off.

Bethany's vote went to Shaun. Surprisingly, even after her big fight with Chad. Chad managed to smooth talk her back into the green, friendship wise. This was enough for Bethany to throw a vote at Shaun over him, instead. Chad really is quite the charmer, and was stabbing her in the back while doing it. She wasn't the only person to vote for Shaun, Yaretzi also threw away a vote on Shaun. I can't tell if she was trying to take out someone smart on the off chance that all the votes ended up even, but this vote didn't pan out. Shaun ends up with 2 votes, automatically saving him from the vote. Even Numbered votes do not count.

While there was a strategic plan in place by multiple alliances to take out a veteran on this rotation, Nathaniel's overbearing personality was enough to force a tie in the house. Nathaniel also received 7 votes, and is now tied with Bethany for the most Odd Numbered Votes for the round. Mimi and Jordan followed through with their Final 2 plan to target Nathaniel, as did 5 other sims who really just don't seem to like him very much.

Because there was a tie between the two highest vote geters, the other 18 housemates must now revote between the two. Odd Numbered Votes are still in effect and if the votes come out even, or there is another tie, we go to a Wheel of Fate, meaning 1 Sim out of the entire cast will be chosen at random and be eliminated on the spot, regardless of their current position. They better make this revote count.... Let's get into this revote!

THE REVOTE

*The sims must now change their votes in an attempt to get someone out while maintaining the Odd Numbered Rule. If by chance the votes come out even, the tie breaker will be The Wheel of Fate, and everyone, including the 18 not currently in danger of being voted out, could possibly be selected by random draw to be the first person out of this game. This is intense, let's get into it!*

The Oldies have now jumped ship from Devin to Bethany, in an attempt to take out a veteran early on. This puts Bethany at an EVEN Numbered vote total of 10, making her votes not count. Because the house couldn't work together to pick a target and successfully force an odd numbered vote, everyone is in danger.

Yaretzi really messed up this vote. As the only person to switch and target Nathaniel, it landed the vote at a 10 to 8.... With two even numbered votes, the house couldn't decide on someone to go home, so now the wheel will have to decide..... I will be rolling a name at random to decide who goes home, this roll will include everyone in the house aside from Sydney who earned immunity for the week.

The wheel has been spun, and the sim going home first in Sequester 1.0 is....................................

Paola!!!!!!!!!!!! By the unluck of the draw, Paola was selected by the wheel and is now the first Sim to be eliminated from Sequester. She was making moves and alliances and looked really strong in this game, but that goes to show just how brutal Sequester can be. If you can't come to a group decision and follow the rules set for that round, someone gets punished unfairly for it. A vet is going home first... (I honestly didn't expect a Wheel Spin this early, I'm pretty shook. lol)

Clearly upset and shaken by her elimination, Paola must now stand before the house and name two people to compete in a Battle Match. The winner of this Battle Match will remain in the game, and the loser will be leaving the game with Paola!!!

BATTLE MATCH PICKS

Even though she was unfairly eliminated by the wheel, Paola wants to keep things fair and target the people who had the most votes that should be in her place right now.

Paola picks fellow veteran, Bethany, and...........

Nathaniel to compete in the Battle Match.....

Nathaniel smugly steps forward and reveals his LoS!!! Nathaniel isn't going anywhere. Because he played his LoS, he can not be picked for the Battle Match and Paola must pick someone else.... Not sure what to do, she scans the room and picks someone without really thinking...

Shaun will be joining Bethany in the Battle Match!!....

BATTLE MATCH PICKS END

And with that, a messy first vote led to Paola unfairly getting the boot. Completely shaken, she can't believe she was evicted first. I'm really sad that she went out so early, but I'm not one to riggamorris, the roller has spoken. Sorry to all the Paola fans that voted her in.

In the next episode, Shaun and Bethany will be battling in a 1v1 Competition to decide who stays and who goes. Who are you rooting for to stay?! Are you #TeamShaun or #TeamBethany?!?! Let me know on Twitter, as well as how you like this new format! Thanks guys, stay tuned for more Sequester 1.0 action very soon!

  1. I'm shook that there was a Wheel of Fate spin Rotation 1 AND Paola went home! I'm routing for Celeste now

    1. Also Yaretzi knew what she was doing when she messed up the vote, she was smart and saw that a bigger threat would go home via The Wheel of Fate
