Sims 4 Sequester 1.0 Part 8 (Even Numbered Vote)

*You Can Click Above For The Previous Part!!*

*PART 8*

Previously on Sequester.... Mimi won her 2nd Battle Match and was on Cloud Nine. Her confidence was through the roof and she was ready to compete her way to the top.

The housemates were split into teams for the round, with the immunity competition saving half of the house. After all of Team 2 dropped, leaving only Otis to fend for them, Otis managed to hang on until it was down to himself and Jordan, fighting it out for their teams.

Otis managed to pull through, winning a 5v1 and became a hero to his team.

As the most fit sim in the house, Jordan didn't take his loss well and he felt like he let down everyone by not hanging on.

After the competition, it seemed like Chad was looking to make Mimi into a target, calling her out for some of the shady things she's done in the game.

But, per usual, Mimi was willing to do anything to stay in the game. She sucked it up and apologized to Chad, hoping he would keep her this week. She entered an alliance with Chad and Monica, looking to target Sydney. While Monica was receptive to the idea, Chad still had some hurt feelings and was a little wary.

Chad had other plans, and warned Sydney that Mimi/Monica were coming after her, in an attempt to improve relations and try to make sure she stayed.

After Monica approached Chad with a Final 2 deal, he felt it was the perfect opportunity to convince his new ally to turn on Mimi with him and get her out of this game. Since Monica didn't really like either of the targets, her trust for Chad swayed her away from Mimi's plan and she decided to flip.

A vote that would've led to a 5 to 5 tie was flipped to a 6 to 4, putting Mimi into the Battle Match for the 3rd time.

She chose her rival, Sydney, to compete against and unluckily got a challenge she wasn't well versed in. Neither lady had a lot of experience repairing toilets, but Sydney was just a little faster.

Mimi put up a good fight in the game, but ultimately became the 2nd Member of the Jury of 9 that will decide the winner of Sequester 1.0. We've broken through the double digits... Starting with 20, we are now down to 9.. and one more sim will be eliminated tonight on Sequester 1.0! Let's get into the action!

THE VOTING RULES
-This round will be an Even Numbered Vote. That means only votes leading to an Even Result will count. All odd numbered votes will be discarded, and the sim to receive the most Even Numbered Votes will go into The Battle Match.

ALLIANCES ENDING
*With each round being a reset, that means we have to crumble all the alliances that worked together in the previous round. Only a few special alliances will persist throughout the game.*

FINAL 2:
*This Round 1 Final 2 has finally ended now that Mimi is out. However, all persisting alliances with Jury Members will remain and could sway their vote at the end. This is the first Jury Alliance of the Season*

SHOWMANCE:
*Mimi's exit from the game has ended this Showmance Alliance with Ervin. However it is now a Jury Alliance and may benefit him at Final 2.*

SOCIAL BUTTERFLIES:

 ALLIANCES REMAINING
*These are the Special Alliances that have persisted into Round 8.*

FINAL 2:

SHOWMANCE:

FINAL 2:
*Sydney's Main Final 2, Brielle's Backup*

FINAL 2:
*Monica's Main Final 2, Chad's Backup*

ALLIANCES END

Exhausted physically and emotionally, Sydney goes straight to bed after her Battle Match. This game is stressful and it seems she's finally reached a breaking point. She's just happy to survive another round.

Monica's last minute vote flip is what really sealed Mimi's fate last round. You could sense the betrayal in Mimi's eyes when she realized Monica flipped on her. This move could either help her game in the end, or really hurt it.

After losing his ride or die Final 2 ally, it seems Jordan is trying a little harder to integrate himself more and make some new relationships. It's a scary time for Jordan, he doesn't have Mimi to hide behind anymore.

The Immunity Competition for this round is going to be Basket Brawl. With 9 Sims still in the game, they were randomly split into groups of 3 to compete in a game of hoops. The three winners will then move on to the final round and the winner of that will be granted immunity for the rotation! The three groups will be Griffin/Ervin/Jordan, Monica/Chad/Brielle and Shaun/Otis/Sydney.

With all of the 2nd group of Chad/Brielle/Monica giving up due to being uncomfortable, only two sims moved on to the final round. Jordan won his group, as did Shaun for his. This means either Shaun or Jordan will be immune from the vote this round!

Shaun comes so close but doesn't manage to get it. He's been working so hard to stay in this game and winning an immunity would make things so much easier for him. It's quite frustrating, but he did manage to get immunity last round. Does this mean that he will be targeted again now that he's vulnerable? We'll have to see. I think he's even more worried now that Mimi's giant target is going to shift to someone else.

And of course, that means Jordan has redeemed himself! He finally won something in his wheelhouse and is feeling much better about himself in the game. With Mimi now out, he felt like he needed to kick it into high gear to ensure he wasn't going to be the next target.

DAY 1 ACTIONS/CONFLICTS/ALLIANCES x2

Action: Chad is the funniest sim in the house and is keeping everyone laughing. He gains +10 Friendship with the house.

Action: Erratic/Hot Headed Sims are doing a good job of ruling through the chaos. Ervin gains +10 Friendship with the house.

Conflict: I rolled No Conflict for the first Conflict Roll, so there's only one today. The house is starting to get worried about bringing Nurturing/Family Oriented Sims to the end. Otis is the only one to get this roll, he loses -10 Friendship with the house.

DAY 1 ALLIANCES
*Keep in mind, on Odd/Even Numbered Votes, Alliances will only be 2 person. If a 3 or more alliance is rolled, only the Top 2 would be included.*

New Alliance: The two sims with the highest Fitness Skill enter a Fitness Alliance. They gain +30 Friendship as well. Brielle and Jordan have had a few run ins in the game, and have a pretty good relationship. With Jordan no longer in a safe position, he's ready to start making move rather than following someone else's lead. After last round, Jordan is starting to feel threatened by Otis. He beat him in the Rock Climbing Competition and he's scared that if he gets thrown in a battle match with him in the future, it could put him out of the game. Brielle is on board with the plan and they put it into motion. Jordan is leading this vote and will gain +2 AP if Otis goes, Brielle will gain +1 AP. The Fitness Alliance is targeting Otis.

New Alliance: Now that he's no longer in a position to play the middle, Griffin chose his side, after entering a relationship with Shaun. He's now looking to secure Sydney as a strong ally, and wants to enter a Final 2 with her. (Sydney is already in a Final 2 with Brielle so this will be her backup.) Sydney is receptive and the two gain +50 Friendship. I think Griffin is banking on taking Sydney to the end because he thinks he can beat her. Griffin wants to take out Ervin after their altercation in the last round, but Sydney doesn't agree. She's been working Ervin and wants to keep him in the game. Sydney throws out Otis as a target, and Griffin is willing to work with that. He showed himself as a physical threat last round and it seems everyone is getting worried now. If Otis leaves, Sydney will gain +2 AP and Griffin will gain +1 AP. The Final 2 is targeting Otis.

PERSISTING ALLIANCES

Brielle meets with Chad to tell him the plan, and he takes the words right out of her mouth. Chad wants to target Otis this round and get him out of this game before it's too late. Brielle fills him in on her conversation earlier with Jordan. With only 3 votes secured, they have to make sure they rope in more for this vote. With Chad leading the vote, he will get +2 AP if Otis goes, and Brielle will get +1 AP. The Final 2 is targeting Otis.

Brielle meets with her other Final 2 and they compare notes. Since they are already on the same page of taking out Otis, nothing changes for them.

Griffin tells his showmance, Shaun, about the plans to take out Otis. Shaun is in agreement that that is the best option for the round. Griffin will now be gaining +2 AP instead of +1, and Shaun will be getting +1 AP if Otis leaves the game. The Showmance is targeting Otis.

Chad meets with his backup Final 2 to fill her in on the plan but he has a change of heart. Chad wants to make a bigger move this round, and is worried that with so many people focused on Otis, the vote could get messed up and he won't go. Confiding in Monica, he tells her he'd rather go for Shaun. Not only is this a ploy to ensure that if Otis inevitably gets voted into the Battle Match, neither of them will be an option for him to face off against. Monica completely agrees to Chad's plan. Chad is no longer targeting Otis, and has flipped his vote to Shaun. He's leading this vote, so if Shaun goes, he will gain +2 AP and Monica will gain +1 AP. The Final 2 is targeting Shaun.

DAY 1 ACTIONS END

Monica is being so sneaky in the game right now, I'm not sure if it's genius or stupid. This could come back to bite her with the jury but for now, she's doing a great job of rolling with the punches to further her game. Her alliance with Chad is becoming one to watch, these two masterminded Mimi's demise and it looks like they have a plan to get Shaun out as well.

Griffin continues to rely on his charm to manipulate the house and thus far it's working. He's never been in danger and continues to edge his way in and out of alliances when it's most convenient for him. No one even notices what he's been doing. He's played the middle for most of the game, but it looks like he's finally settled on Shaun and Sydney as his core alliance. Should he have waited a bit longer or is he sure this was the right move?

With Mimi now out of the game, Chad Jr is sitting on the most Alliance Points in the game, and in an incredible spot socially. He's getting away with murder with his behind the scenes, shady gameplay. By keeping the house laughing, they don't even suspect him as a snake or a mastermind, they just know him for being a gullible idiot in Big Brother 8. This isn't the same Chad we all know and love, and it could win him the game.

Otis put a massive target on his back last round by winning that Rock Climbing Competition 1 vs. 5. It has a lot of his housemates scared and it could lead to his demise. No one wants a comp beast in the game, so it's looking like he's in some serious trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if Otis became the main target from here on. I think the house is worried he's just going to comp win his way to the top.

Shaun is finally feeling pretty relaxed in the game, with a handful of people he can trust. After being filled in on the plan, he's confident, which could be a mistake. I don't think he realizes at all that he has people coming after him this round, and he may end up getting caught completely off guard.

DAY 2 ACTIONS/CONFLICTS/ALLIANCES x2

Action: You have to be smart to play puppet master. The sim with the highest Logic is doing a job of steering the game. +10 Friendship with the house. This roll goes to Sydney.

Action: Unflirty/Jealous Sims are doing a good job of steering clear of drama for the time being. They gain +10 Friendship with the house. This included Otis and Shaun.

Conflict: The first Conflict Roll was No Conflict once again. The second one was an embarrassing social faux pas for the sim with the lowest charisma skill. They lose -10 Friendship with the house. This roll goes to Sydney.

DAY 2 ALLIANCES
*No Changes from the Day 1 Alliances, Typically Targets will not change unless there is a big blow out or there's a big relationship shift between a target and someone targeting them.*

New Alliance: Ervin gets a Final 2! (So many Final 2's in the game right now, it's gonna get messy very soon when they are forced to pick a side!) He chooses Jordan. They gain +50 Friendship. They've bonded quite a bit throughout the game and he see's that Jordan is feeling alone in the game after Mimi was eliminated. This is great for Jordan, he's back in the game and has a new Final 2. This is the only Final 2 for both guys and will be their main Final 2. Jordan tells Ervin about his meeting with Brielle and the plan against Otis. Ervin has no qualms and is willing to vote that way for the round. Jordan will now gain +2 AP instead of +1 AP if Otis goes, Ervin will gain +1 AP. The Final 2 is targeting Otis.

New Alliance: Foodie Alliance! This Alliance includes Sydney and Brielle who are already in a Final 2 together. They gain the +30 Friendship but this is a throwaway alliance that really serves no purpose since they are already working together.

DAY 2 ACTIONS END

DAY 2 ALLIANCE TARGETS
*This is a rundown of The Alliances in the game for this round and who they will be targeting going into the vote. The sim initiating the vote will gain +2 Alliance Points if their target goes out, and the sim/sims following their lead will gain +1 Alliance Point.*

ALLIANCE TARGETS END

Brielle is killing this game socially. She's a MASSIVE threat to win it all. Everyone likes her, and she hasn't done anything to piss anyone off on the jury. Especially after getting voting back into the game by her peers, it's pretty clear that she is very charismatic. I don't think anyone is seeing just how dangerous she is. There are so many good players in this game, I have no idea who's going to win! I'm excited!

THE VOTE

This round is an Even Numbered Vote, meaning all Odd Votes will be discarded and the highest vote total coming out to an Even Number will be voted into the Battle Match. This Round, two main targets have been confirmed, but that doesn't mean something crazy can't happen. Let's get into the vote!

Completely left out of the loop this week, Otis put his vote on the person he felt was the biggest target in the house. 1 vote against Sydney means that it's an Odd Numbered Vote and will not count.

Chad and Monica look to make another big move by targeting Shaun. This is to not only ensure someone aside from them will be voted into the Battle Match, but it also keeps them out in the high chance that the main target will get the most votes this round.

With 6 votes, the big alliance successfully got their target into The Battle Match, but now comes the scary part. Otis will get to pick one of them to face off against.

Otis is completely caught off guard. Everyone was so friendly with him this round, he assumed Sydney was gonna be the target and can't believe it was him.

As the housemates who voted for him stand, Brielle is very confused as to why her Final 2, Chad, is not standing. Something fishy is going on here.

Because Jordan won the Immunity Competition, Otis will not be able to pick him, but everyone else is vulnerable.

Feeling like he may gain some favor with his housemates by taking out a big threat, Otis picks Sydney to compete against in the Battle Match. It's pretty clear Sydney is over it, and doesn't want to be the replacement Mimi, facing every single Battle Match.

THE BATTLE MATCH

Sydney and Otis roll Bowled Over for their Battle Match. The sim to receive the highest score will advance in the competition. The loser will be out of the game and join Devin and Mimi on the Jury.

So far in the game, Otis has been pretty quiet. But upon reaching the mid point of the game, he's kicked it up a notch in competition, leaving his housemates worried that he's going to win his way to the top. If anyone was suited to face a variety of different Battle Matches, it'd be him and I think everyone in the house is hoping Sydney can pull it out and get him out before it's too late.

Last Round, Sydney took out the biggest player in the game in a Battle Match, but how good is she at bowling? It was clear that repairing toilets wasn't Mimi's Forte. Was that win just luck on Sydney's part or does she have some hidden talents we don't know about? So far Sydney has played an aggressive and strategic game. She's done a lot of things in the game to successfully plead her case in front of the jury, and I'd love to see her continue on. I think either outcome will bring relief to the remaining houseguests. Both of these sims are massive threats.

And there we have it! Otis continues to prove himself as a physical threat, and the house is going to have to work hard to get him out of this game. Sydney put up a great fight, but Otis was just better at bowling. Another major player is now out of the game!

*Because a Vote Target did not go home, that means no one receives Alliance Points this round.*

BATTLE MATCH END

Sydney was an excellent player and I'm sad to see her go. This will be a major hit to Shaun and Griffin, and may put them in a vulnerable position moving forward. Sydney was feisty and ruthless, you could tell she really wanted it. Winning the very first Rock Climbing Competition against 19 other sims had my attention on her from the beginning. She held on to an LoS for almost the entirety of the first half of the game, and played her butt off up to this point to try and avoid being targeted. Her poor relationship with Otis was ultimately her downfall. She made no effort to get to know him and she was really the only clear choice for him to compete against. Sydney becomes the 3rd Member of the Jury of 9 that will decide the winner of Sequester 1.0! It's shaping up to be quite the jury.

*I hope you guys enjoyed the episode, we are inching closer to the finale, and with all these Final 2's in the mix, it's bound to cause some drama soon enough. I'm really happy with how the Top 8 is looking. Keep your eyes out for another slight rule shift in Top 8. The rolls are about to get a little more brutal. Let me know how you liked the episode on Twitter, and just tell me how you like the series as a whole, I'd love to hear from you! Stay tuned for a new episode soon!*
